Darn cold

    I've been waking up about 5:30 every day.  I want to stay up until 10 or 11 most nights (even later if I'm at some events) and still get 8 hours of sleep, so I've been trying to sleep later, but with no success.  (My friend julie says that when she is happy and energized, her body just wants to wake up earlier, and I guess that's probably what I am experiencing.) 
    As could have been predicted, a virus has taken advantage of my weakened state.  I have felt its influence for a couple of days, and have been drinking Lemon Ginger Echinacea w/honey (one of my favorites), but my sore throat has gotten worse, my nose is starting to run, I cough occasionally, my eyes are itchy, and I am sleepy.  I thought I could make it through my normal 4 hour work day, but I came home an hour early to take a 2-1/2 hour nap.  I started drinking Gypsy Cold Care tea (another favorite) w/honey this morning.  Probably I mostly need to sleep, drink fluids, and give my body a chance to heal.
    If I am careful, I will be well enough to go to at least some of the activities we had planned for this weekend, especially the Aries party Friday night and the Sunday afternoon surprise, and be well by Monday or Tuesday.
