2 terrific weekends!
Last weekend was the annual Pacific Northwest Unitarian Universalist district meeting in Tacoma (maybe more about that later). This weekend was the World Sacred Music Festival nearly all day Saturday (Salish flute & stories, marimba workshop, shape note singing, prayer in movement with Sufi Whirling Dervishes), Across the Universe at

aekajin2 all night, eating a delicious omelet prepared by
goldfish42 (and me, her humble sous chef), and a terrific church service.

Well, I thought I posted this last night, but it obviously did not take. :-(
This morning I walked the 1.2 miles to work (for maybe the 2nd time in 2008) and was richly rewarded. I wound up stopping a couple times going up the hill, but one time was to admire a gopher (I think) nibbling at the fresh spring greens! I got within maybe 5 feet of the gopher without disturbing it, so I got a really good look -- how cool! I also walked within about 2 feet of a chickadee and saw a heron fly overhead. Oh, and I sampled several of the water drops hanging like crystals from branches. What a wonderful way to start the day!!
