OOC: Class Syllabus & TA Request
I'm looking for a TA for Abby's class. That person will be responsible for...things. Many varied things. That I can't think of right now. Possible jobs might involve helping out students that need remedial computer help, bringing Abby Caf-Pow, participating in classroom examples, various hacking things that need to be done. It doesn't matter if you've taken any of Abby's courses before, you just need to be decent at computers.
Week One- What is the Internet and why should I care?
Week Two- How do I get to the internet?
Week Three- Browsers that suck and ones that don't.
Week Four- Googling yourself. (and other things)
Week Five- Video's and music. What's legal and what's not.
Week Six- Shopping for crap.
Week Seven- Selling your own crap.
Week Eight- Making the internet work for you - Banking, Bills, Stocktrading
Week Nine- Hanging out - Email
Week Ten- Hanging out - Typing and net-language
Week Eleven- Hanging out - Chatrooms
Week Twelve- Hanging out - Online dating
Week Thirteen- Making your own website.
Week Fourteen- Blog your way to happiness.
Week Fifteen- Final Project
