**A big report, finally!**

Okay, so here is the full report on Moi Dix Mois live in Paris! I hope you enjoy it! <3

Moi Dix Mois: Live in Paris, March 28, 2005.

I was lucky enough to, although I live in England, attend the Moi Dix Mois live event in Paris at La Locomotive. Here is a report of the concert, containing as much detail as I can possibly remember. I tried to take in as much as I could while I was at the concert so that I could write this when I got home the next day, but at sometimes I just got so carried away that I didn’t really take as much as I could have in. Gomen (o^_^o;;)!

On the day of the concert (Monday) I decided to walk down to La Locomotive with my boyfriend and parents (who took me to Paris so I could see Mana-Sama <33 My boyfriend was to attend with me, my parents, quite obviously, were not ^^;;). I wanted to check I could find my way to the concert venue okay so that I wasn’t confused later. We wandered down Boulevard de Clichy at around 2PM, and on the way, there were a group of gothic lolitas who passed us. I was surprised that they were dressed already, as I wasn’t in my clothes yet. When we actually reached La Locomotive, there was already quite a large crowd of fans gathering. I’d say there were about 50 people there already in little groups, and more walking towards the club from every direction.

When I saw them, all I wanted to do was go back to our hotel and get changed, then come and queue. I was so hyperactive and unable to concentrate that at 3 o clock my dad gave up and we caught the metro back to the hotel.

Once I was dressed, we ordered a taxi and sped off down to La Locomotive. There was an A4 sized poster advertising Moi Dix Mois playing there just below the big sign that said La Locomotive. We got there at about 5:30, not really that early, as fan club members were supposed to be allowed to enter at 6:30. By this time, the queue was huge, and I was quite bummed about having to be right at the back. As about seventy percent of the people around us were French, we had a hard time finding the right queue, but my dad managed to find an American guy who told him that the fan club queue was the one at the front and on the left side of La Locomotive as you were looking at it. We made our way up there and began to queue. In this time, we saw and spoke (a little) to three Japanese girls, (everybody knows these girls, huh? Kawaiiiii!) They were simply adorable, and they posed for a photograph for us, spoke to us in English, and were just so cute!! <33333 Two of the girls (I think their names were Saki and Sari, or something like that) were dressed identically in pink and white sweet lolita outfits, and their friend was dressed in head to toe black Moi Meme Moitie. They all looked absolutely awesome! <333

Suddenley, at about five forty five, everybody started screaming, so we joined in, not really sure what we were screaming about (o^_^o)! A coach pulled in right near us, and we could see the shadows of HUGE hairstyles through the window….Surely not?!? We all screamed like lunatics, until the door opened and there was…..some VIP’s and Staff Members XP (>_<;;) However, two of the girls were dressed very like Juka and Kazuno Kun, and I managed to snap some pictures of them, although they’ve not turned out brilliant (>_<;;) These girls and some other Japanese girls came right close to us to talk to the Japanese girls who were dressed identically, and they all started conversing really loudly and excitedly in Japanese. The door opened to La Loco and the girls from the coach were let in. They all had tags around their neck that read “Official Staff Members” and had the Moi Dix Mois logo on :P I was so jealous!

We got talking to some girls behind us, who’d heard us speak in English. They were English too, and started chatting to us about what time we’d get in, how we thought the concert would be, etc. At about 6:20, the door opened again, and the staff member leaned out and started yelling something at the delivery van that had just pulled in. A guy got out and pushed through all of us, handed something to the staff member, received money, and then left. We realised it was a takeaway. Who was it for? Curry for Mana-Sama? I think so! ^__^ Hee hee! I thought it was so cute and awesome that they would order a takeaway before the show (^_^)! Maybe it was just for the staff members, though =P

We continued speaking to the Japanese girls and the English girls, (Scott feeling quite left out as the only guy in the group, although there were many guys who were there also). Until about 6:50, when we were just complaining that we should have been let in twenty minutes ago, the doors opened, two bodyguards squeezed out, and blocked the door, letting fan club members in two at a time. We all started hopping up and down and waving our member certificates and confirmation emails. Hee ^^ After being shoved and pushed from all angles by enthusiastic and eager fans, just like ourselves, we got to the bodyguards and were let in. As we did so, we were warned not to take pictures and that cameras would be confiscated. The room was quite dimly lit. There were a few groups of fans in there waiting for their friends who they’d been separated from by the security guards, but in general it was quite empty. At the very end of the room was the ticket office. We made our way to it, there was no queue at all, and I was asked to show my passport. I actually had my student ID, but that was fine too. ^^ Phew! The guy spoke English to me, and told me he had two tickets for me. He asked if that was correct, I said it was, and he handed me two pink tickets. They were just pink raffle tickets, sort of, they didn’t have the band name on or anything…that was quite upsetting (>_<;;) However, we proceeded onwards, turning right from the ticket box and handing our tickets to a guard on the door, who ripped half of them off and gave us back the other half. They warned us about cameras again.

In the next room, there was a bar with neon signs, and….A MERCHANDISE STAND!!! Joy! I got in line and got to purchase after only about two minutes of waiting. I bought the Moi Dix Mois European tour T-Shirt, Nocturnal Opera (As I didn’t have an official version …you can’t buy it in England XP), a poster of the band, Magnifique, Mana’s Photo book, a set of Badges of the band, and some postcards <3333 I think you could also buy the Moi Dix Mois rucksack/backpack thingy, but I’d already spent 100 euros, everything I had on me, Scott had ten euros left, though, and the people at the merchandise stall were gaping at me, so I stopped there. (^_^;;) I was disappointed that I wasn’t able to find the special Platinum member pendant =( Along the merchandise stall, there were some flyers advertising Moi Dix Mois’ European tour, which I picked up five of ^_^;; I also got all of my merchandise in a Moi Dix Mois carrier bag, which I thought was a lovely touch ^^

We walked the length of that room to the concert hall. It was a pretty medium sized room. At the very end of it was the stage, and at each side of the room there was a step up with a rail along it that ran right to the back. At the very back, there was a staircase, which to get to the stage, you had to walk down. When we entered, there were about two rows of people at the stage, so we got to stand in a good position. I chose, unwisely, now I’ve seen the concert, to stand at the left side of the stage. At this side, there was a microphone, at which I wrongly assumed Juka would be singing. I didn’t notice the mic at the centre of the stage, sadly (>.<). At the sides of the stage, there were various replacement instruments stood up. (K’s and Kazuno’s) and we could see, at the right side, the shadow of Jeune Fille, which I kept hopping up and down to try and see properly. There were some huge fans to air condition the band placed at each side of the stage (which also made Mana’s coat blow out behind him fantastically ^^) and behind the stage was a huge banner which had Moi Dix Mois’ logo on it and the band name, of course ^^ <3 There were multi-coloured spotlights, and then there was a red one which kept completely bathing the stage in red light. They were also playing the start of Shadows Temple X occasionally, and also a deep, thundery track in the background, which certainly added to the excitement and anticipation in the air. At about 7:30, they let in the rest of the fans who had been queued outside. By about 8:45, the concert hall was packed, and we were getting bumped and jostled about. What surprised me was that most of the platinum fan club members had actually positioned themselves along the side steps near the barrier, quite far away from the stage. I can only assume they were worried about the amount of time standing, and wanted something to lean on. I can understand this, as before the concert had even started, I felt tired from standing and in some pain from my shoes (>_<;;) I knew it would all be worth it, though.

Then, the sound testing began. I got jealous that one of the sound testing guys actually got to touch Jeune Fille! (>_<;;) Grrr…The two Jeune Fille’s were there, by the way, Blanche and X. However, Mana-Sama only used X throughout the concert , so I assume Jeune Fille Blanche was just a replacement. The testing took a long time, and some of the French girls in front of us were yelling and complaining to the security guards and staff. “Ce’st Merde!” (^^) Hehe.

At about five past eight, the lights went down and we all started screaming and chanting “Moi Dix Mois! Moi Dix Mois! <3”. Then it all kicked off. I cant quite remember which order the band came out in, but I THINK, that Mana-Sama came out last, and, quite obviously, received the most cheering. Juka said something to the crowd (He looked absolutely gorgeous, by the way!) but because we were all so loud, I couldn’t hear what he said. When I looked up, I was surprised to see K stood in front of us. He looked surprisingly masculine, with a raw edged sexiness about him, which is very strange to hear coming from me, since I absolutely adore guys with long hair, and K is bald on one side (>__<;;)

What surprised me about the concert was how a lot of people weren’t singing the lyrics. I know they’re Japanese, but I just assumed that the majority would know them, from listening so much, although I know it’s hard to make out what Juka says sometimes. Myself and the guy behind me were two fo the only ones on our side of the club who could sing the words, and I think K realised this, as he kept looking in our direction. I hope he, and the band, were pleased that there were some of us who could sing along (^__^)

Also, the concert didn’t seem very long. I thought it was quite short, but I think that’s because I was enjoying myself so much. I actually felt that it should have been an interval when the tour guys started packing up all the equipment.

I’ve written too much, so I’ll draw this to a close.

All I want to say is that there are no words to describe the feeling of seeing Moi Dix Mois live. I don’t think it has sunk in properly yet, even though it’s been a few days. It was just so amazing, and all of the moments that didn’t make it on to this report are tucked safely away in my mind and my heart. I’ll never forget them. It’s so strange to look up to someone, something, for such a long time, and then to be able to experience them, or that, to be that close to them or to it….it’s just indescribable.

All I can say, is that I hope Moi Dix Mois come and do another one soon, this time, to England! <333333

A wee FAQ…

1) Was he really as beautiful as he seems?!

YUP! Mana-Sama looked more beautiful than I’ve ever seen him look. I can’t compare him to anything, because nothing is as beautiful.

2)What happened at the end?

Ah, the end was a little disappointing, actually. Moi Dix Mois walked off the stage after allowing themselves to be cheered for, one by one, and then returned after we screamed for five minutes, to perform one more song. Then, they just left. That was it. We stood there for a long time afterwards, and I heard a girl say “The staff say no more!” As I turned around, I think she could see the dissapointment on my face, and she said “I Know, I know. I can’t believe the staff say no more, they won’t come out again!” After this, we made a sharp exit, hoping to see the band leave. However, we didn’t manage it. We heard that Mana-Chan had left right after the concert, so even if we’d have come out immediately, we probably wouldn’t have caught him.

3)Was there merchandise there?
Yup, as I’ve mentioned, we could buy those things I listed. However, it was awkward buying them first, we had to hold them all the way through the concert. The English girls we’d got talking to asked me if there were lockers, but we assumed that there weren’t any.
4) How good was K? Does he fit in well?
Yes, he did! He was really wonderful, his vocals were out of this world. I thought I wouldn’t like K that much, his appearance seemed very harsh, but actually, he’s a really amazing performer. He has such energy like I’ve never seen before ^__^ I was really glad to be stood in front of him most of the time.

Well, that’s it! If there’s any other questions, please ask and I’ll add them on! Thanks ^__^ Hope you enjoyed the report, and sorry for it’s lateness!

Oh, There is an article on Gackt in this months NEO magazine! <3 You can buy it from Forbidden planet, etc...although the article isn't particularly complimentary XP
