Lilith says ♥ C.N.BLUE's first Korean mini album! Their guitarist, Jung Yonghwa, starred in You’re Beautiful as Kang Shinwoo which seems to have helped C.N.BLUE’s popularity sky rocket in Korea before they even released their mini.

The first track 외톨이야 (Alone) reminds me of Jason Mraz’s “I’m Yours” in more ways than one. The chorus is a refreshing change from the usual but it got a little annoying, not gonna lie. The song seems to drag on forever. The original beat is interesting but near the end of the song I just wanted it to stop. Repeating words/sounds over and over again may be cool for most people (i.e. 2NE1’s “I Don’t Care”, 2NE1’s “Fire”, 2NE1’s anything) but the constant da-da-da’s rub me the wrong way. I know for a fact though that you will think it is catchy as hell. Most of you will love this song.

Love Revolution is much more alternative like I was expecting from them. I’m liking this song much more than the first track. The rapper disapoints me. I’m sorry to say but I won’t even be able to stop relating them to F.T Island so here goes: “I Hope” and “Troublemaker” come to mind when listening to this. The chanting in the background and the rap moments are remarkably similar.

Y, Why… is a true rock ballad with a little rap thrown in. The Engrish is ehhh, but what can you do? Now Or Never makes me feel like I’m driving through the countryside with the top down. Niiice~ 그럴 겁니다... 잊을 겁니다... (I Will Forget You) is a nice, soft ballad. I’m no so sure if I like the lead singer’s voice or not, but it’s calming.

Final note: I know I dissed this mini album but I’m sure I’ll find myself singing 외톨이야 to myself in the shower head later.

7/10
