hmm...

Ok, I've been thinking...and this just doesn't make sense to me. Ya know, everybody spends mucho hours of their life being engulfed in the media...whether it is through magazines, online, tv, whatever. Media is supposed to be entertaining, right? It is supposed to be a good thing, but it isn't always. (this is gonna sound off topic but i promise it will tie in) Everybody, girls especially, are self concious about things, but why? Why does it matter how big your boobs are or what your face looks like? It doesn't really, but in society today we have all been taught that beauty will get you farther in life...But, the thing is, it goes even beyond what you look like. Everyone has something that they think they are good at or atleast best at, but those thoughts are often shot down. If someone thinks they are smart, well guess what, someone is smarter...If someone thinks they are good at a sport, guess what? SOMEONE IS BETTER! Media is constantly rubbing in everyone's face that there is someone better than them. So, how does anyone ever get to feel good about themself if they are compared to those "lucky few"? How is anyone ever going to feel good enough?? I just don't know...

*this is one of my middle-of-the-night thoughts. I'm not saying I will never get online again, or watch tv or anything, I'm just thinking that maybe, just maybe, thats where many insecurities surface. Many girls hear their boyfriends talk about how celebrities are hot, possibly more than they hear compliments about themselves, and that of course can be a self confidence decreaser. Just everyone remember this...I think you are beautiful no matter what!! I love you guys so very much!!!
