You think you know someone, but then you start to learn you have it all wrong. They're not the person you thought they were, for they have molded into a new character, someone you're not familiar with. You try to change them back to their previous self, but you know that'll never happen. You keep denying the change of this person, but you know that's not gonna work for long. Finally, you wake up one morning, reflect on everything that's happened, and realize that you can't do any more, so you move on.

I keep the Polaroid of us hanging on my wall from last summer. Those nights are something I'll never forget. You were amazing, I don't think I'll ever stop loving you. You're that type of boy who becomes so addicting that even if you break up with me and fall for someone else, I won't even be able to do the same. My first love, the boy who won't ever be able to be replaced.

But no matter how hurt you are, you’ll always love them, always. They’ll stay with you forever. And not only will you not notice it, but deep down you’ll compare every other guy to him, and none of them will ever live up because he was your first love. Then months after you let him go, when you finally think you’re over him, he’ll call, or you’ll hear “your song”, or you’ll go some place you went with him, or see a movie, or something that reminds you of how much he meant to you and how much you really loved him and realize you’re not completely over him and never will be.

I believe the most difficult situation you can be ever be faced with is deciding whether you should just move on or hold on a little tighter. Move on, and maybe you'll lose a chance at the best thing that could have ever happened, or hold on, and have the possibility of one day being the biggest disaster ever created.
