Huh, writing for myself...I should keep that in mind. It might actually help me. But if I may, on the topic of "Prince Charmings": I don't want one. In the conventional sense, I mean. I don't want a white-horse-riding, pearly-teeth-flashing, uber-romantic and chivalrous Sir Lancelot. The myth of Prince Charming is the HEIGHT of unrealism. Men are not perfect, as anyone can attest to. And though everyone has a list of the qualities they most desire in their lifemate, what would be the fun in actually FINDING that "perfect" guy? Yeah, at first you'd be psyched that he was everything you wanted...but what if he just stayed that way forever? No surprises, no conflict to test the strength of your relationship, nothing really exciting. Let's face it--perfection is not only impossible, but BORING!!!! Furthermore, as much as I enjoy getting to know different males throughout my life, I don't know when I'll ever be ready to take the plunge and start a relationship with one. Because although I do complain about being lonely sometimes, I have to admit that singledom has it's definite perks. And after being boyfriend-less for my entire adolescence, I don't think I want to throw it to the winds just yet. Independence is a sweet thing.
