Insanely long, but awesome weekend

So yeah...I left Thursday afternoon for that NACA conference that I go to every year. Except this year, I wasn't there with the Stonehill crew as a student. I was there with Music Opportunist Management as an agent. It's a long weekend when you're there as a student, cuz they pretty much have stuff for you from 9am til 12:30 or 1am. It seems even longer when you're there as an agency, because there's mostly absolutely nothing to do. When I got there Thursday, it was almost time for the first marketplace session, so I did that, and then we went to the hotel for like 2 hours before the second marketplace at 10:30. We drank and managed to stay up til 2:30...not a good idea. The second day, Ma and I got up to go to a 9:45 meeting that it turned out we really didn't have to go to. The first marketplace was at 1:30, so we went to that.....then there wasn't another one til 10:30, so we sat in the hotel room alllll freakin day. Saturday, John was scheduled to showcase at 4...which meant that he had to be there for a soundcheck at 6:35am. So we got up at 5:45 to go with him. It was ridiculous. Then Ma and I had a meeting at 9, then back to the hotel until like 2. Then John's showcase and a marketplace, then his parents took us out to dinner, and we had to go back for another marketplace, then another meeting at 12:30. I passed out as soon as my head it the pillow on Saturday night. Unfortunately I had to get up early so that I could be back here to work at Hallmark at 11.

I thought I was gonna get really annoyed with Alex and John all weekend. Alex especially tends to get pretty grumpy sometimes. I was amazed to find out that I loved them more by the end of the weekend. They were AMAZING. Ma and I sat back and watched them talk to all the students at the marketplaces. We were seriously like proud parents. It was so great. I don't think Alex has ever been that social in his life, but he was forced to talk to everyone cuz all the girls wanted to talk to him cuz they thought he was sooo hot. It was funny to see their reactions too. One night, a girl was kinda looking at him out of the corner of her eye as she walked by, and when she got near him she started like strutting. lol it was great. And everyone loved John too. His showcase was AWESOME, and everyone came to tell him that after. Unfortunately they only got three shows booked at the conference, but not everyone books there. Hopefully after follow-ups are done we'll have a lot more. And I've already talked to Ryan, and at least Alex may be coming to play next semester, so yay. I love those rock stars :)

It was funny too, cuz when we were in our hotel room, we watched MTV like allll the time. We'd watch real world marathons and see Danny and Melynda on tv, and then we'd go to the conference and they were there. Randy from a couple seasons ago was on there too, and he was my absolute favorite. Rachel from Road Rules/The Gauntlet was there too. John used to loooove Rachel, so Thursday night we went to find her at her booth before the marketplace opened. When he saw her he was like in shock haha. I took his picture with her, and then she was like "hey, I'll come walk around with you guys for a little bit" so she came to hang out at our booth with us. But recently, Melynda has replaced Rachel as his MTV love, so when he saw her I thought he was gonna flip out. He got pics taken with them, and I got my picture taken with Danny and Randy. Beautiful men :) All of them except Melynda came to hang out at our booth at some point during the weekend too, so it was awesome to talk to them.

On another note, I have my first internship interview today! It's at Schneider PR on Newbury St. Working there might be extremely dangerous for me, cuz that street is like my favorite place in the world to shop...

Ok, this entry's long enough now. Thanksgiving break starts tomorrow afternoon, so that'll be great. I finally get a hair cut and new glasses, wooooo. Have a good break everyone!
