(no subject)
My course finished early on Thursday so I went to see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Overall I enjoyed it. Think Goblet of Fire was stronger overall (but it was always going to be seeing as how it was the stronger book!), but the last 20 or so minutes were absolutely fantastic!!
POSITIVES
[x] Department of Mysteries - from the Hall of Prophecies to the Atrium, it was great!! The whole scale of it was fab, plus the effects were so fab, esp the duelling between Dumbledore and Ralphemort!!
[x] Ralphemort's possession of Harry - really focused on the importance of friends and him being alone. I liked that!
[x] Luna - how cute was she?! She was as spaced out as I imagined she would be!! Especially walking around barefoot!
[x] The montage with Umbridge taking control ie all the Educational Decrees and interviewing the teachers, especially Snape!! Loved it. Was bouncing round in my seat at this point!!
[x] Luscious Lucius Malfoy!! When he came up in Hall of Prophecies and took the mask away with his wand...rawr... :p
[x] The snide look Ginny gave Cho just before the kiss <3 which was a lot longer than I thought it would be!! Go Harry!!
[x] Aberforth Dumbledore in the Hog's Head...with his goat!! They left that in!! I think that might be like with Kreacher, that he's gonna appear in Book 7!
[x] Umbridge...Imelda Staunton was great and she made me giggle in places, especially with Filch!
[x] Neville...again took Dobby's place in finding Room of Requirement.
NEGATIVES
[x] Not enough Ralphemort
[x] Not enough Remus
[x] Not enough Tonks
[x] Arabella Figg - now she was crap!!
[x] They missed out loads in the Dursley's kitchen, including the Howler. Plus Uncle Vernon wasn't angry enough!
[x] I didn't like the whole Occulemncy thing ie has to be started tonight!! Hmmm... but I am glad they kept a teeny bit of Snape's Worst Memory in there, however brief it might have been.
[x] Hermione really grated me in this film. Made me giggle after the Harry/Cho kiss, but other that that, she pissed me off!!
It's been 4 days, so I can't think of everything at the moment, so these are the things that spring to mind. So yes, overall it was a good film, but I was always more excited about Book 7 anyway, and it's just come out at the right time!!
I'm still reading OotP...Harry has only just given his interview for the Quibbler, so I have the rest of that to read, and HBP before Saturday!!! It's never gonna happen!! I always do this, misjudge them...I really should learn, especially as the last 2 times I haven't actually got round to reading the new one til the next day!! Which this time would be my birthday!! :)
