Very manic...

Blimey, I've been having a busy time of it - not just me, the whole Lou family have been all over the place!

First things first - my Mum is having an operation on her back today, to remove a disc (OUCH!!!!!). Obviously I'm worried, but I know she'll be ok, and its the best thing for her. She went in on wednesday thinking she was going to have a scan, but they ended up admitting her. Then Friday she had the scan and found that a big disc has 'popped out', and it won't get better by itself, and so she's having the op. Considering its the NHS, I can't believe how quickly this is getting done. Good I spose though, as no one has had a chance to think about it too much! So I'm waiting to hear from my dad this afternoon once we know how its gone. My poor Mummy!

I've also been working all weekend- very knackered, but I got almost £90 from 2 waiting shifts, so I can't really complain too much! Yesterday I felt dead though, as I worked all day and then my dad picked me up and we went straight to the hospital. I was ready for bed by 9pm!

I must admit I've been a bit worried about Dad - he's had so much to deal with, what with mum in hospital, Katie getting ready for uni (she went yesterday! more about that...), running the business on his own for a week while his partner was on holiday, phone calls from the bloody alarm company at 5am sunday morning........I know he is completely stressed out, and I want to try to do stuff to make it easier for him, but I'm working so much at the restaurant I can't do anything! I feel really guilty too, as this week I'm working today, wednesday, friday and saturday, so he'll be on his own a lot and I know he doesn't like that. But next week will hopefully be a little less mad, so I can pamper him a bit then.

As for Katie - we were all so worried about her going off to uni. The last couple of weeks shes been getting herself so stressed out with it, worrying about having too much to do and leaving Jack and stuff. But then when Dad took her yesterday she looked happy, and then I spoke to her in the evening and she seemed really excited. Shes living with 5 others - 4 other girls and one boy (poor guy!!).They all went out on an organised thing with the halls last night and she said they had a fab time - apparently 2 of the girls, Amy and Becky, and the guy Glen (who is supposed to be gorgeous! lol) and her all get on like a house on fire. But there are 2 irish girls who've already been there for a week as they're doing Nursing, and Katie said they didn't go out with them and haven't really seen them. But they have the whole year, and I'm sure they'll all be great (I hope!!). So me, Dad and Jack are going down on Sunday to see her, and I hopefully will stay and come back on Monday. I'm just so jealous of her - I want to be going back to uni! Just remembering how exciting it was, a new place with new people to meet, doing brand new things everyday. *sigh* I really hope she is happy there.

Anyway, have written far too much. Don't know when I'll next post again, maybe later when I know how Mum is.
