Due to my paper procrastination habits I decided to do some Google Reader spring cleaning. Sadly, after getting rid of a lot of the feeds that I never really read I am sorely down on my daily routine of drinking tea while catching up on the blogosphere.
I would really like it if I could get some blog recommendations. Mainly, I want to read things that have good writing. I'm also into reading more personal type blogs that are more in the personal journal sort of realm. I want to read something thoughtful.
Here are my favorite blogs:
Bubblegum Aesthetics - Blog kept by a spunky young Oberlin cinema professor who is really into comic books and vintage musicals
Dude Craft - Impishly fun DIY blog
Happy Mundane - My favorite industrial design/pretty object blog written by an art director in LA
Idea of the Day - Consistently intriguing blog by the New York Times. Sort of like Malcolm Gladwell, but more substance and less mass appeal.
MAGIC MOLLY - My favorite Tumblr blog of the moment. Lots of pretty pictures and quotes, but also lots of great writing. This blog is like a delightful little tea sandwich that gets left on my computer a few times a day.
A Softer World - Of course.
Fluffy Lychees - Favorite sex blog. Almost all pictures (most of them range from arty to bizarre), and you never know what you're going to get.
