Ah, sweet sweet spring break. I had planned on driving to Graceland and Nashville with a couple of friends, but alas, the car requires prohibitively expensive repairs. This is my first short break just staying in Oberlin. Originally, I had thought that what I needed was some excitement and adventure- particularly since this is my last school break for a while. But it feels so good to have nothing in particular to do. No obligations anyway. The past few weeks have been brutally busy. My sleep schedule has been in complete chaos, and I didn't even feel like I really had time to plan The Next Step.
So this weekend I did nothing. I slept, made food, watched tv. Not even any alcohol consumption.
This is going to be my week for finishing off this video project I've been working on for a psychology professor, finishing off the first batch of podcasts for the art museum, and hopefully finding something to do at least for the summer. Also planning on getting really ahead on school work so that I have mucho spare time next quarter. I checked out the first season of Mad Men from the library, as well as a few random graphic novels and Irvine Welsh novels. Also catching up on Dollhouse and the Real World (thought this season was going to be the best one in about ten years, but alas, it is mainly violent fights about filling the tank and taking out the trash).
If anyone has any suggestions for tv, movies, or books I have a lot of free time and suggestions would be appreciated.
