So...last set of classes I'll be taking for a while. Trying to balance between taking it easy, yet enjoying the full experience of being in the academic environ.
Senior Neuroscience Seminar (pathology of neurological disease)
Thought this was going to be an intense lecture class. In reality it's going to be focused on "scientific communication". It looks like it's going to be comparable to a really easy English class, but with a poster instead of a long paper at the end.
Modern Drama: Brecht to Pinter
I'm kind of ashamed to say that up to this point I've entirely avoided any English classes that were either drama lit or poetry. Bad English major. But I've heard amazing things about the professor and since I live with a theater major I feel that this is kind of necessary. The readings look pretty spectacular.
Neuroendocrinology
Auditing due to laziness. But...pretty much one of the most fascinating parts of neuro. Been wanting to take this class since freshman year.
Survey of Japanese Art
Guess who has an art history minor? That's right. Nothing says sexsay like neuroscience + art history. I have yet to take a non-western art class and the professor seems super cool. Like the kind of prof you want to befriend since you are a senior in a class of freshman and you can bond over your superior knowledge of the art history world and go out and get drunk at professor beers and have sex talk.
History of European Consumerism
Ok, so this one I'm taking mainly because it's not in the morning and it satisfies my last social science requirement and the two sociology classes I went to looked terrible.
X-Files Private Reading
Hells yeah. Watch X-Files mythology episodes, keep blog of short responses, perhaps make some sort of zine for final project. The best credits I've ever earned.
