New Year's was pretty much the best one I can remember. Although to be honest I can't particularly remember a New Year's Eve since 2000. I went to a dinner party with my mom and it was actually really fun. They had interesting conversations and they don't get to hang out with the young folks too often, most of them are professional women who didn't have children, and they were really interested on my perspective on lots of things. I took home a jump drive so that I could give someone the first season of Dexter. Then I went to a friend's house and it was like a perfect shindig. Enough people to keep things interesting, but not so many that you couldn't actually have conversations.
I'm also thinking more and more about getting a tattoo. I've kind of wanted one forever, being in conformity of my generation and all, but I didn't know what or where I wanted it. But I've been kind of seriously thinking about getting a chandelier done between my shoulders. I think the thing that kind of convinced me was actually being in close proximity to a sizable tattoo. It was pretty hot. When I Googled chandelier tattoos it didn't seem like they were particularly common. I only found
one image that was sort of what I want. Only I am thinking quite a lot smaller and less elaborate. I like tattoos that are classy.
