I can't wait for Christmas to be over. Christmas is actually more unpleasant and stressful than finals. Given the choice between 15 page research paper and being home for Christmas, not even a choice. I can't wait to get back to Oberlin. It's kind of sad because I actually like Albuquerque more and more every time I come home. I went for some driving around with some friends yesterday and it was just so pleasant and lovely and the Satellite brought back Turkish lattes. I think Lindsay and I should experiment over winter term with making them because sooo good. I think the abundant sunlight is helping me get my sleeping back in order. Which is much needed because I've been averaging 4-ish hours a night for some time. Despite my best intentions the post-finals evenings were spent in up until sunlight revelry. Chile pepper lights and everything :)
Driving around has felt so good. So hard sticking to speed limits. I think I might drive up to Santa Fe sometime just for the hell of it. Maybe the Bob Dylan movie will be playing there. I was actually kind of surprised that it isn't playing here. Yep, so if anyone wants to go on a field trip to Santa Fe...
Also can't wait to go to town on some Christmas ornaments. Admittedly, after a few drinks I get the inclination to either sit in people's laps or to break glass bottles. God I love booze. God I love wantonly destroying Christmas ornaments. The day after Christmas all the Christmas stuff goes on sale...including those little round glass ball ornaments. Normally I buy several boxes (they're usually about ten cents a box after Christmas) and just hurl them against a wall. This year I think I'm going to go a bit classier and use my golf club. I can't wait. I'm going to smoke a cigar, then I'm going to line a whole box of the little mothers along the side of one of the concrete ditches and I'm just going to go down the line. *crunch* *crunch* *crunch* Colored broken glass and cigar smoke everywhere.
Speaking of booze, how fun would it be to play croquet in the cemetery with a full moon over winter term?
