Well, here I am in my final year! Mad or what!! In a couple of months I'll (hopefully) have a degree and be (hopefully) doing a real job!! Yep you guessed it I’m terrified! All the time you're a student you kid yourself that it's going to last forever, you never think what you'll do when it's over! You never consider it being over! Hmmm so now it nearly is and I have no idea what I'm going to do! Heard of those graduate scheme things? Well, they sound great in practise but the actual likelihood of getting on one is slim! Assessment centres, interviews, aptitude tests, maths tests, English tests, personality profiles, lovely! I've had a look at a few, even started filling some in however then I reach the dreaded essay type questions, 'Who have you found to be an inspirational leader, what advice would you give them?' 'What relationship have you had to build up that was hard to do? How did you sustain it?' So I get to those and then I give up! Soooo I guess it's a random job for me that I could have got without going to Uni! Oh well, lets see what comes along!
Other than that things are pretty cool I guess, given up work so am now a lady of leisure. Decided to stop working to focus on my final year, yeah right, great excuse to be a total bum for a year though!
Had one of those student loan interest statements through the other day, oh my god! Enough to give anyone a heart attack! You take your loan cheque every time it comes around without really thinking that eventually you'll actually owe someone £9000 or whatever!
I did promise myself I’d start working this year but it hasn't happened yet. First essay due in in a few weeks and am yet to start whereas all the geeks on my course have already finished that and some of the ones due after Christmas. *sighs* I call them geeks but I’m only jealous, I wish I could be one!!!
Thinking about summer holidays, Australia would be cool but it's their winter in our summer but I guess that's still hot compared to here? Can get 3 weeks with stopovers thrown in for about £800 which isn't bad... Determined to enjoy my last summer as a student!
Anyway off to walk my beautiful dog, so much better than men are dogs, a cuddle and a walk that's all they ask!
