Architecture in Helsinki makes me Happy!

I made a mix CD ("DANCE!PARTY (TOASTY!Style)") and I believe that it is one of the best mix CDs ever. It makes me happy every time I listen to it, as music should (when it's happy music, as opposed to sad music, which should not make you happy).

I don't appreciate my friends. I don't tell them that I love them enough, I don't think. So, I'm saying it right now:

I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!

Exciting news: I am in a new band and it is called "Don't Do David". This is exciting because we have a pianist/accordian player (Jessiqua), a tambourine/triangle player (Sabine), and a stand-up bassist (moi)!

Over the past month, I have been a page in Olympia, gone to the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival, and spent a lot of time with my friends. It was definitely groovy.

Being a page for the State Legislature is absolutely amazing! You get to run around delivering things to people, stuffing envelopes, learning about the state government, and watching the House of Representatives in action! (This may not sound very exciting, but if you find politics interesting, then you will enjoy sitting in on legal sessions. Otherwise, it will be quite boring and you will find me to be a liar.) I'd like to go again next year, even, and the people there are terribly nice.

Why do people use the word "terribly" as a synonym to "quite a lot". They use "horribly" in the same way. It's strange because "terrible" and "horrible" have negative connotations, but when you say something like, "I'm terribly excited for Friday!!" it is a good thing. Another reason why the English language is so bewildering.

LIONEL HAMPTON WAS AMAZING! Not to brag, but... EW'S JAZZ I WON FIRST IN THEIR DIVISION!

Also, there were a bunch of really amazing musicians there, like John Clayton (bass), Jeff Hamilton (drums), James Moody (sax), and Hank Jones (piano). Even if the evening concerts were long and tiring, they were well-worth our going to Moscow, Idaho for four days because they definitely raised my inspiration level, at least. Music is what keeps me alive. It's official now.

I think that it's really neat that I can have a group of my friends over and we can spend five hours entertaining ourselves with deflating basketballs, traffic cones, Juice Squeeze lids, and wrapping paper tubes. Also, napkin eating contests are always popular.

By the way, yesterday was Pi Day, in case if you were wondering. Pi Day is amazing and is also Alber Einstein's birthday. Our math class now has a gang and we do the Pi Symbol with our hands, just like a true gangsta would. Except that we are led by Mr. Crist (my math teacher) and we are all fairly nerdy. So we are not very gangsta. Especially since we wear our pants at out waists. And we use "r"s.

Ignoring a problem has never fixed anything. I just thought that I'd point that out...

I start ballroom dance lessons on Friday! I am extremely excited!!!!
