TDay went well

So I ended up having a good dinner at Kyle's house; we ate with his upstairs neighbors, who are 20s-age women, with their boyfriends n there might've been a girlfriend or two in there too? I ended up making pretty great mashed potatoes- although someone else had already made a bunch and not many people ate em. Well, that left a lot for me to take home! I had Kyle's shepherd pie (which I guess was vegetarian), some spaghetti squash dish, some kinda cream-corn dish, pumpkin pie and marionberry cake. I brought over some pale ale, and blazed up a bit... but I don't think I'm a pot person at all. I never used it much, and it just makes me cloudy-headed. I think I will stick with vodka and bourbon, the occasional beerfest. We sat around playing guitars n stuff, some folks played some video games (there was a 007 shooter game), and by then I was tired, cloudy-headed, n loaded, so I went home. it was a good, relaxed night, though.

Yesterday, I walked when the sun was out. I was so stuffed that I didn't eat much all day. I watched a lot of Rockford Files (library DVD set), surprisingly didn't dig the Truffaut (Confidentially Yours) and Godard (A Woman Is A Woman) films I got. Well, Godard is up n down; he can be good and can be crap. God knows Anna Karina is easy on the eyes, and Jean-Paul Belmondo's a cool guy, but that movie went nowhere, imho. The Truffaut one, likewise, I just bailed on early.

Today, I got many more library CDs. Right now, I have 31 CDs from the library. Some are double or triple CDs, so it's really more than that. Gotta find time to get through them! Driving around helps.

I hope to find someone to catch the Tenacious D film with. Dunno if it's good, but I mostly like Jack's stuff. I wouldn't mind seeing The Queen, and would acquiesce to seeing Fur, mostly for my crushes on Mirren and Kidman, respectively. Yes, I do NOT care if Helen Mirren is made up like the queen, she is still waaay hot!!
