DAY#1
We landed at Ngurah Rai International Airport at around 7.30pm. Collected our baggage and met our driver. Our hotel was like 5 minutes away from the airport, so we reached there pretty fast. Checked in and found out the hotel was pretty dope. Our room opened up to the pool and we had our own deck chairs. There were cabana's too and a pool bar. Best part is that there was Wi-Fi, so I could surf and chillax by the pool. So freshened up and headed off for late dinner at the hotel restaurant, had nasi goreng, damn Indonesians put chilli in everything, it was super spicy. After dinner we walked outside and got a foot massage for an hour and then headed back to the hotel for some shut eye. Pretty much the first day.color:black;mso-ansi-language:EN-SG;mso-fareast-language:EN-SG;mso-bidi-language:

I scraped my knee while snorkeling, I didn't even know, lucky no sharks. Then we took a glass boat to turtle islands where we saw various animals. Doesn't the turtle remind you of Crush from "Finding Nemo"? Its over 100kgs and is about 80 years old. The baby was already heavy to carry, imagine that one.

tanah lot temple. The guy in the blue shirt was our driver, I totally forgot to take a picture of him. You know all the cars in Bali, are manual, well the ones that i've sat in were. Lucky i'm learning to drive manual. Also, the angmoh tourists are so adventurous, they rent motorcycles or cars and drive around the city. I swear i can't even tell the streets apart, I applaud them for their awesome navigational skills. Continuing with my story, when its high tide the temple is like in the middle of the ocean and there isn't anyway to get to it except by boat i think. The sea from the cliff was beautiful, too bad we didn't stay for the sunset.

Then went back to the hotel for some lazing around by the pool. Got ready for dinner and headed to Hard Rock hotel. Mhmm. They had a huge screen on the first floor and they kept playing The Killers song. I think it was a sign. Oh, They also do the birthday thinggy there but it is ten times more embarrassing because they had those traditional Indonesian instruments. Oh! I totally forgot to take a shot of the Hard Rock sign.

Day 3 was Volcano Day. We had to drive up to some godforsaken place to see
Mount. Batur. I think the drive was like 3 hours long, plus we stopped to see the "
Goa Gajah" A.K.A Elephant cave. It was soso, I had to wear a sarung cause I was wearing shorts :( Then we proceeded to the Mountain thinggy where we had lunch opposite the Volcano. It was pretty chilly since we were quite high up. You could see the soil was blackened from its last eruption, pretty cool. Such a shame it was cloudy that day. Anyway, after the volcano, we were on our way to some market but we stopped at Ubud (some small town) with all these furniture thinggys. So pretty. Our tour guide said the town was where businessmen would come to import Balinese furniture. Mumsie bought me a pretty lamp for my room. After that we continued to the market place for some retail therapy, so I got some souvenirs. Also note the Dolce & Gabbana. I swear almost around every corner theres a D&G, Ralph Lauren, RipCurl, Billabong, Roxy etc. Got dinner after that at Discovery Mall which faces Kuta Beach. The seats were Cabana style. Anyway, Discovery mall has a TopShop, but I didn't manage to go. They even have Breadtalk there, its almost like Singapore. After Dinner, we went for a massage and got back around midnight.

This day was not so good. Woke up late and skipped breakfast, instead went to chillax by the pool. Then went for a spa massage in the Hotel. So I totally skipped lunch too. All I had was Orange juice. Anyway, that was like my first spa experience, I didn't know I had to get up so many times to shower. Annoyed me a bit. And the woman massaged me everywhere and I mean EVERYWHERE! I was a bit uncomfortable, well, I'm asian after all. So that ended around 4 and I had to wait for my mother so I chillaxed by the pool somemore.
Then in the evening we went to some other temple again with monkeys. So cute.Isn't my sarong so coolio mulio? Anyway, by the time we reached the top I was feeling pretty sick. But we still went to some beach and had a seafood dinner there. There were like rows of restaurants. Serious. I took a picture but not clear. The whole stretch of the beach filled with tables. After dinner, I decided to crash at the hotel while my mother went drinking with her friend at Hard Rock. Poor me. My mother ditched me,and to add insult to injury, she said I can't be a tai tai cause after one massage I get sick. I will not give up my tai tai dreams!

Last Day in Bali. Woke up early, had breakfast and took a cab to Kuta Square. All the branded stores were there. Mostly surf shops actually. RipCurl and Volcom were having major sale but my mother refused to go, so that was wasted. We shopped a bit and then headed back to the hotel and checked out and it was off to the airport. We didn't have lunch yet, so we decided to have lunch at the airport. Our flight was at 2.40pm and at 2.30 we were still eating. It wasn't my fault, my mother was still sipping her martini. Then she still had time to go to the duty free. By the time we got to the gate, they had locked it. Magnificent right? Lucky the guy saw us and unlocked it and we had to run to the plane. We were the last to board, how embarrassing.
Well, thats the end of my baliday experience. I think it was pretty fun but I would rather go to a wintery country. After all I wanted a white Christmas. But Bali has changed so much since i've last been there. I think if you want to go to Bali, you should go with friends, its more exciting. The clubbing and the beaches. Maybe next time!
Ps. I braided my hair, but it came out already! :(
