Kicka*s Concert!
I thought I'll do the post for the MIKA concert now. Just got back from shopping, finally got my concealor. Decided to go with Bobbi Brown.
Lets start with me meeting Audrey yesterday. We were supposed to meet at 4.30 at the expo station but I knew she was like going to be late so I took my time and we ended up meeting at tanah merah coincidentally. So we headed to Max Pavilion but before that we grabbed dinner at subway.
So by the time we came, the line was this long and apparently people started queuing since 6 in the morning. Hardcore much?
The queue was this long by 6.45 I think. There was actually this girl in a pink wig but you can't see her.
The crew from the concert came out shortly after to pick girls and boys from the crowd to dance on stage. But the people they pick had to be on the heavier side.
Also there were like two girls sitting behind us and we were eavesdropping on their conversation. It went something like this (I can't remember):
Girl 1: What you listening to?
Girl 2: Mgmt
Girl 1: Who is mgmt?
Girl 2: Some band, not that good.
Me and Audrey turn to look at each other then burst out laughing shortly after.
I think we eavesdropped on so many peoples conversations. And someone thought she was a famous youtube star ah.
These were the people who were in the line since morning and had numbers on their hands. They also had some sparkly thinggies in their hair. I remember I swallowed that girls ribbon when i was screaming during the concert. HAHA.
So they opened the gates around 7.30 and we went in.
At first we thought the props were pretty sucky but later we found out it wasn't that bad.
I bet the sound check people felt like rockstars because whenever they came out to test the instruments people would start screaming.
After a while, the lights dimmed and it started to get foggy.
I know my camera isn't that good but you can see Mika on stage.
Its blurry cause everyone was jumping by then.
There's a gap between some pictures cause I put my camera in my bag, so that I could push some annoying ang moh boy. I was like twice his size but he kept pushing and pushing. Such a fucker. Pardon my french. If I could, I would have taken out my shoe and hit him on the head several times.
See. Colourful right? I remember this was Grace Kelly. He even shushed us at the end to do the "Kaching!" So cute + hot.
Hahah. These were the people who volunteered to be on stage. Funny or what?
This was supposed to be the end. And Mika was saying goodbye.
The band dancing. So cute.
Cherisse, the cool ass drummer. Her afro so cool la. Heheheh
Then Mika came out again and did an encore.
And that was the end. Audrey was lucky enough to get the set list and a drum stick. Someone was lucky in plaid yesterday.

After that we headed to 7 eleven to get some water and check if we lost our voices.
See, she so happy. Look how protective she is of her spoils from the concert.
I only got a sticker. Better than nothing I guess.
All in all, Mika was good. He had a lot of energy and I must say the props were awesome. I'm not sure which was my favourite song. Its tied between Relax, KickAss and Rain. But to top it all of, Mika looks SO FREAKING HOT IN REAL LIFE. I want him. Slash that, I need him.
However, I still would have preferred going for the killers. That would have been mind-blowing. Brandon flowers confirm hotter.
Alright, shall go watch the portugal versus ivory coast match now. Got to get my body clock back to normal.
