I really do enjoy reading and, unfortunately, don't have a ton of time to do so. I especially lack the time to really sit down and read an entire book or novel. Also, for me, books are very much a "comfort" thing- just like there's comfort food and comfort movies- so when I do find the time to read, I always go back to my classic, familiar favorites that I know I'm going to enjoy. I don't really know when the last time I read a "new" book was. It's hard for me to get into more modern lit, too- I often find it clunky or shallow, and the things that do have a deeper meaning or "message" don't convey it in a subtle way.
So I go back to the things I love and the pieces that get better and better with each read.
