[When Kurapica comes on screen, he looks alert, confident, and...very tired. Because although Kurapica is confident in his situation because of his deduction of this event, he doesn't want to experience imprisonment and psychological torture as much as the next person. The question of what is real and what is not real is a philosophical challenge we have to contend with in general, but since this event, it's a problem that's naturally come up. In this case, I think we can safely say that what occurs in everyone's "shared dream" is not reality, but Adstringendum is.
First: this shared dream only occurs through sleep, and it's too odd that all of us are experiencing a similar dream for it to be coincidence.
Second: as for why this happens, we can only make assumptions until actual evidence can be found implicating someone or something, but in the mean time, I hypothesize that the Animus are responsible. It also fits within the time frame for events, as well as the general pattern for these events.
Third: if this shared dream were actual reality, then why is it that we could experience it only now? This also supports the theory that these occurrences belong to an event.
There are simply too many inconsistencies for me to believe that Adstringendum does not belong to reality, and that the dreams we all experience do belong to reality. Therefore, I wouldn't place too much concern as to whether what we live is a lie, though it was a fair question to ask, given the circumstances.
