In the relative cool of the morning, the sound of swords rang in the Sixth Division grounds.
With a sharp exhaled breath Byakuya pushed away Unohana's nodachi and slid into a new attack. The weight of her blows no longer shocked his arms as they once had, but the sheer force behind her swings still took a lot of effort to repel. Every session he could feel his stamina building, his maneuvers becoming sharper. What he had done in December was far behind him now. Under her instruction, he was certainly furthering himself. Yet still, it took all of his concentration to match himself against Unohana-taichou.
Senbonzakura darted forward, speed countering Minazuki's length. Byakuya was absolutely intent on the goal that had been his and his sword's since the first day: they will cut.
