Summary: Hey, the guy had fallen asleep on the street. It was only sensible for Rai to wake him up . . . though maybe he could have chosen a better way to do it.
It felt good to be out of the office, if only for a short time. A working day in the Tenth didn't exactly leave a lot of spare time, but Rai figured he could hoard a few minutes before he returned from playing courier across Seireitei. After all, it wasn't as though he were running behind or anything.
He kept his pace casual as he neared his old Academy stomping grounds, smiling a little at the coincidence of his last drop-off being in the area. Looked like everyone had done a good job of repairing the place in the aftermath of the invasion; it didn't look quite the same as it had during his time, but at least it was intact now.
Stopping abruptly, Rai blinked at the ground. Or rather, he blinked at what was on the ground -- namely a young man with red hair, clad in a shinigami uniform overlaid with a rather silly-looking scarf. What the hell? Had something happened?
Rai knelt carefully beside him. "Hey. Everything all right?"
No answer came. And the steady rise and fall of the guy's chest indicated that he was just asleep; he certainly didn't look injured in any way. But just who the hell could fall asleep in the middle of a public street? In the daytime, no less?
"C'mon, then. Time to get up; don't want people stepping on your head, do you?" This was said along with a firm shake of the guy's shoulder. Still no response. One hell of a heavy sleeper, this guy, though all things considered Rai wasn't surprised. "Hm."
Maybe it wasn't the greatest idea in the world, but Rai did have something that might make this guy wake up. He would just have to prepare himself for a possible negative response if it did work.
Pointing two fingers just to the side of the guy's head, he let fly a weak hadou. "Byakurai."
OOC: And we need a tag for Annai! :D
