[COMPLETE]
Byakuya dismissed the servants after they had arranged the two tables for calligraphy. There might not have been any need for the pretence, but it could not hurt. He spared a displeased glance to the corner where the ivory inlaid desk sat since this morning. He was of very mixed mind about the thing. Although he doubted that he would use it, it was of unquestionably high quality. If it had been anyone other than Aizen to have given him such a gift... Yet it had been. Dare he be rid of it?
Sensing Hitsugaya's presence coming near, he spared the desk no further thought and went to the door to greet his guest. As before they walked in silence to the calligraphy room, but once closing the door to the room Byakuya did not sit.
"I am pleased that you came," he said to the other Captain. And he was equally pleased that Hyourinmaru was at the young man's side. "As you undoubtedly guessed, the invitation to calligraphy was merely a cover to the true reason you are here. I have uncovered a family artifact that is of considerable power. However, I require assistance to uncover it's full potential. This is what we are doing tonight, rather than calligraphy. ...I trust you are not too disappointed."
