HARUKI DON'T BE HATING ON MY CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT 8(

Also it's kind of hilarious how. Both of them changed, mostly for each other. And neither of them likes it!!

Well, I don't think Haruki ever truly believed Kazuki could change. I think, in that sense, he never gave Kazuki enough credit. It annoyed him! But Kazuki wouldn't change and as long as Kazuki didn't change, Kazuki would still be on Haruki's side, no matter what. But Kazuki has changed, has allowed more people into his "inner circle" so to speak.

Haruki. Doesn't like that!

HARUKI'S NEVER LIKED THAT, even way back when they were kids and Kazuki followed a 'stranger' on a whim.

To be fair to Haruki, Kazuki always assumed that Haruki will never hurt him and always want him no matter what happened. But he just... grew to the point where he realized that he doesn't NEED Haruki to be at his side (as opposed to WANTS Haruki by his side), which I think is the point of contention between them now as they both have different views. Kazuki cares about what happens to others now! Haruki... doesn't! And as Haruki always wanted Kazuki to stay the same, and Kazuki always wanted Haruki not to hurt him and be at his side, those views make being together impossible. EVEN hen Haruki showed a grain of hope by inviting Kazuki to be with him, as much as Kazuki wanted to be, he couldn't do it.

...lol.

IT REALLY IS I need to essay on the process Kazuki has about learning the values of life in a response.

Also... unfortunately, due to their personalities, when their ideals do a switch they're unable to be together. HILARIOUS.

Well, Reo hints that them meeting there was sort of "destined" to be the straw that broke the camel's back, since the game wouldn't progress!

Truuuue. But I think it's just that Haruki and Kazuki just have such set expectations of each other, that when they both defy those expectations... things will never be the same fullstop!

Yeah, they never thought beyond that.
