Prom: Take 3
I've heard once or twice that the third times a charm. I'm thinking this is an inaccurate statement, consitering I passed my liscence exam the first time, I turned 11 years of age my first try, and I'm even well on my way to completing my high school career on the first try (not to offend any of you super-super seniors; keep reaching for the stars).
However, my first couple prom experiences, not so much fun. Both had separate and similar way of letting me down, and while not generally bad, they just weren't that great. However, I believe those kids at Stafford have got it down pretty well. Eventhough they can't do the electric slide or have quick picture sessions (they were real REAL long), they do know how to have a good time at a prom. After going to chrissys and exchanging coursages (well, technically with her mom), we were off, with jamie and aaron as well, to take some pictures. They took FOREVER *edited for time* and by the time we knew it we had picked up olivia and mike and headed it to agawam mass for the SHS junior prom 06. After posing for a few snapshots for the kids outside and walking up the non-red carpet, we arrived at the reception area. It was fairly small, but had bangin cheese and crackers in addition to smoothies and shirly temples. After an hour or so, we headed to our table in the main area, and I had a seat between Andrew (Brittanys date; cool guy), and my wonderful date chrissahaahahha (whom I matched my tux PERFECTLY to). We ate, and the food was delicious. Then we got a bit of dancing in before they decided to announce King and Queen and court. Brittany, Andrew and Chrissy all got court, which was mad sweet, cause, well, they're all mad sweet. However, they did all miss sandstorm....but me and aaron danced enough to make up for them. And yes, the dancing continued, and after 3 sections of stairway to heaven, the prom portion of the night ended, and we piled back into the limo and headed to chrissys house.
Upon arrival, we all (chrissy, a-ron, jamie and myself) changed into a more casual dress and socialized. And ate some amazing coffeecake and pizza at that. Then Liv and Mike showed up, and we all chilled into the night. It was a marvelous evening, with the exception of chrissy being uber-mean to me. And Brittany not showing up to the party.
But, minor drawbacks aside, this does prove that the third time truly can be a charm, and it was an awesome time in the S-block. There it is.
