Is it weird that I'm both a Barney/Robin shipper and a bit of a Kevin fangirl? (
or, In Which I Discuss Tonight's Installment of the Epic Story of Ted Mosby's Quest for True Love, also known as How I Met Your Mother, and say Oh My God a lot
- The brOTP makeout was HOT
- The whole pot=sandwich thing will never not be funny :)
- The whole Ted and Marshall plot: is it weird that I find drunk/high people on tv kind of adorable in certain scenarious? I mean, obviously not if they're doing something hurtful, but watching Ted and Marshall wander around and get on the line for the ladies room four times just made me want to pat them on the head and hold their hands. I've never drank or done any kind of drug and I feel like I'm severely missing the point.
- On a less silly note, the whole theme that time isn't really going by too fast was really reassuring. I mean, I'm just 16 and I feel that way all the time, especially in the last year or so, and it was nice being told that my concert's not over, so to speak.
- Anyway back to Barney and Robin
- Robin looked so pretty! I loved her hair and her dress,very 40's
- The scene with the band playing that song directed at them was hilarious
- "Maybe it's because you're almost as messed up as I am." *chants* OTP. OTP. OTP. OTP.
- Sandy Rivers is like a sleazy sandwich on bad hair bread
- "I didn't want to make a big deal about saying I love you" OH MY GOD KEVIN. WHY COULDN'T THEY HAVE HAD ROBIN DATE A JERK? WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE YOUR SWEET HEART THAT GETS TRAMPLED? WHY ARE YOU BEING SO CUTE AND LIKEABLE RIGHT NOW? WHY IS WATCHING A SIT-COM SO EMOTIONALLY DRAINING FOR ME? WHYYYYY.
- Oh oh I know! Robin can have Barney, and I'll take Kevin. Problem solved. :P
- Watching Barney think about Robin while Nora's dad talked about true love was absolutely beautiful. Especially the best friends part. *chants* OTP. OTP. OTP.
- Oh my God, Kevin just walked in with Robin. Oh my God, Barney's face. Oh my God, why does anything ever happen ever, The Second, oh my God. I was watching it all alone, too, so everything was TOTALLY SILENT during the "longest second of Barney's life" thing, and it was so incredibly heart-wrenching. And then the "and you're at the wrong booth" made me laugh again, but still, that second. Poor Barney
- When Ted got back to his apartment and he was looking all curiously at what was going on in Robin's room, I thought for a second that Barney killed himself. I freaked right out, too, despite the complete logical improbability of that happening on a show like How I Met Your Mother. But the actual ending was still so sad. Oh, Barney. Just let me hug you forever.
