Filling in the Gaps: Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë

I just finished Wuthering Heights, oh, thank god in heaven. It took me something like three weeks to read, and now I think I need a bath.

I have no idea how that became labeled as a great romance and how Heathcliff became a great romantic hero. Because what I read was a horror story, plain and simple, and I wouldn't let Heathcliff within a mile of me. He and Catherine really did deserve each other, ugh, useless wretches both. The only part I really liked was the bit at the end with Catherine Linton and Hareton Earnshaw and that lasted all of what, ten pages?

Well, at least it is now read and I never have to look at it again.

Grade: F minus several million.
