I spontaneously drove to Lake Michigan today.

It actually started out as just going for a drive. It was a perfectly beautiful fall day, and I didn't feel like wasting it cooped-up in my room. I drove up Business 131 through Paris and Reed City, because I know that stretch is just amazing during this time of year. When faced with the option to either take US 10 left or right, or turn around and go home, it suddenly dawned on me that US 10 takes you straight to Ludington. About half a second after that, it dawned on me that it was only about 40 minutes west on US 10 until Ludington. Yet another half second after that, I flipped on my left turn signal, and decided a few hours on the beach were in order.
It was nice. Very relaxing. I took lots of pictures so I could finish off the "Sunrise on Dewey Beach" roll. So now I have an entire roll of beach pictures waiting for me. Excellent.
The drive from Reed City to Ludington is something that everyone should do in mid-October. The color is nothing short of amazing. I drove too fast with all my windows down, listening to my music full blast. Howie Day is good "long drive in the middle of fall" music. As is the Garden State soundtrack. Both were given generous stereo time throughout the course of today's events.

Did you know they make Vanilla Caramel tea?
Well they do, and it's yummy.
