part 1 "Don't go in there!" Joonmyun mutters at the TV. "That's where the killer-" he doesn't finish the sentence because suddenly an axe descends and the cast of the horror movie that Kris and Joonmyun are watching is decreased by one in a bloody and spectacular fashion. Well, right now it's really just Joonmyun watching the movie because Kris is sleeping soundly curled up as much as he can on his owner's lap.
The movie is almost finished and the killer is carving his way through the last of the victims. None of this is a surprise to Joonmyun though, he must have seen every B grade horror flick since they started making them. Joonmyun strokes absently through the hybrid's hair and Kris purrs in his sleep, head resting on the arm of the couch and his long legs tucked away under a blanket. Joonmyun's fingers trail gently down until he's petting Kris' back. The hybrid sighs and curls closer as Joonmyun pets him.
The movie ends with a fountain of blood and a scream that has the hair standing up on the back of Joonmyun's neck. The credits roll with some blown out heavy metal music and it makes him frown.
"Hmm," he muses. "I really did think that couple might make it to the sequel."
It's then that he glances down and realises that Kris has found his way to dream land. Joonmyun takes a moment to admire the softness in his pet's features as he sleeps that isn't normally visible while he's awake. Kris's eyebrows seem less imposing and the set of his mouth is friendlier. Joonmyun even might be tempted to reach out and try to touch the sleeping Kitty’s tail.
"You are so cute," Joonmyun coos to himself. "Look at you sleeping."
It's something that he most certainly wouldn't say to the hybrid unless he wanted to receive the silent treatment. Kris enjoys cute things but he definitely doesn't include himself on that list.
Joonmyun lets his eyes run from his pet's face down his neck to his shoulders. He trails his fingers along behind the hybrid's ears, down until they dip beneath the neck line of his pet's v-neck. Kris stirs but only ends up curling up closer around Joonmyun on the couch.
It's then that Joonmyun realises that he is trapped. There is no way to move Kris without waking him. There is certainly no way for the man to carry the hybrid to bed.
The whole situation would be just fine with Joonmyun except that he is feeling the beginning of pressure in his pelvis that means he will soon have to relieve himself. It would also be fine if as soon as he noticed the need, it suddenly wasn't rapidly becoming urgent.
He shifts gingerly under his pet in the hope that he can last just a little longer. It works, but as soon as he realises that he will ultimately need to do something a little wave of panic wells up. Joonmyun's hands flutter uselessly as he dithers over what to do. He really isn't thinking anything but trying to hold the two opposing concepts of action and inaction in his mind. It results in an overwhelming feeling of static crackling between his ears at an ever increasing pitch and volume until his bladder is screaming.
Joonmyun experiences a sudden clarity of thought when he realises that Kris won't be so mad at being woken after falling asleep on his owner's lap. He might be a little embarrassed that he didn't make the end of the movie but as soon as his head hits his pillow he'll be out like a light again.
"Kris?" he calls gently and strokes down his pet's ears and neck. "Kris," he calls again.
"Don't touch my food!" says Kris as he blinks awake. He makes a sleepy, pouty, frowny face as he sits up that melts Joonmyun's heart and he can't even laugh at what the hybrid said. The hair around his ears is all mussed up and stands up on one side.
"The movie finished and it's time to go to bed," Joonmyun says, bladder reminding him why he woke his pet in the first place. Kris continues to blink groggily, trying to catch up after being roused.
"Oh," Kris rubs the sleep from his face and rises from the couch to shuffle off to his room.
Joonmyun follows the hybrid down the hall before peeling off in the direction of the bathroom where he feels the intense relief of an empty bladder at last. He brushes his teeth and washes his face before heading back to his own bedroom.
Joonmyun is in bed and just closing his eyes when he hears a knock at his doorframe.
"Joonmyun," Kris murmurs. "Can I?... I mean, I..." he continues to stammer, taking up the entire doorway but managing to look small clutching his tail.
"Kris, are you okay?" Joonmyun is worried now.
"Can I stay with you?" he breathes out in a rush. "The movie was a bit..."
Joonmyun flicks up his covers and motions for Kris to come in. "Of course," he smiles.
Kris moves over quickly and Joonmyun expects his pet to crawl into his bed smoothly but about a meter away, he leaps and lands on Joonmyun with a thud.
"Sorry," Kris apologises sheepishly. "I didn't want anything under the bed to get my feet."
Despite the large hybrid crushing him beneath his weight for a second time tonight, Joonmyun finds that he isn't even a little mad. He just helps Kris arrange himself comfortably, arms wrapped around him and face pressed into his shoulder. Kris is warm and Joonmyun knows he'll wake up much too hot in the morning but he smiles anyway, happy to have his pet so close.

“I’m home!” Joonmyun calls to the apartment as he toes off his oxfords at the front door. He nudges them to the side and steps up into the apartment carrying his special purchases for tonight. Kris approaches and holds out his arms to take the bags when he sees how much his owner is carrying.
“Here, let me help,” he offers.
“No,” Joonmyun shakes his head and sweeps past his pet. “You take a seat and let me surprise you.” His smile almost stretches from ear to ear as he breezes past Kris into the kitchen.
Kris frowns a little and his ears twitch in confusion. The hybrid scents the air but it looks like his owner has thought of everything because there is nothing to smell. Joonmyun makes a small satisfied chuckling noise in the back of his throat. Kris warily makes his way over to the couch, turning around to peer over the back into the kitchen in hope of getting some clue about what is going on.
“Turn around and close your eyes or you won’t get any,” Joonmyun says from the kitchen. He pauses briefly to check that his pet has complied before returning to arrange the candles on the cake.
Kris is perplexed but he does as he is told anyway. He hears the snick-snick of a lighter flint and smells something being lit. Then he hears the light switches being flicked off as well as the light disappearing from in front of his eyelids.
Joonmyun is busy humming away in the kitchen for a few moments more before he makes his way into the room with a cake full of candles.
“You can open your eyes now,” he says. Kris opens his eyes to see his owner smiling widely and watching him.
“You got me cake?” Kris is perplexed even as he appreciates the sweet smell from the fluffy looking icing on the cake. It makes his mouth water already just thinking about it.
“Uh huh,” Joonmyun confirms with an eager nod. “Do you remember what today is?” he asks.
The hybrid has to think hard because nothing immediately comes to mind.
“My birthday isn’t for a long time yet,” Kris reasons slowly and Joonmyun leans forward eagerly. “And it’s too early for yours too…”
Joonmyun leaves the silence to stretch out and Kris is confounded. He blinks and straightens, filtering through the various important dates that would necessitate cake and candles. He comes up empty and feels more and more uncomfortable with each passing second.
“Joonmyun,” Kris begins nervously. The candles on the cake are melting. There aren’t too many drips but the flame is getting dangerously close to melting the icing too. “Can we blow out the candles now? The cake is going to get ruined.” He sits with his ears at attention and lips pursed as Joonmyun continues in his callous disregard for the safety of the cake.
“Not until you guess,” Joonmyun sways and singsongs. He is clearly having a great time teasing the hybrid. Enjoyment and excitement practically radiates off his face in the gentle illumination of the candle flames.
Kris is torn between disobeying and saving the cake. His eyebrows furrow and he lets out a breath as he decides what to do. He doesn’t want to disappoint his owner who is quite clearly having a great time but at the same time… CAKE.
“I’m sorry Joonmyun,” he mutters before leaning forward to extinguish all the candles with one breath.
The pair is left in the semi dark of the apartment, Kris breathing heavily in relief and Joonmyun snorting quietly with laughter.
“If you can’t guess, then you can’t have any,” the human teases and removes the tempting cake. There is not even a trace of disappointment in his tone at being defied.
“But, that’s not fair!” Kris protests. It’s almost a whine. Cake is serious business and Joonmyun is getting close to crossing the line between kidding around and going ‘too far’.
“Alright, I’ll give you a hint,” Joonmyun relents. “But I’ll have you know that I’m seriously offended that you haven’t remembered this important occasion.” He sounds nothing of the sort.
Kris can’t take his eyes off the cake, even in the darkened conditions, it fills his vision.
“Alright.” He licks his lips and waits.
“Something very important happened a year ago today that changed my life forever,” Joonmyun pauses with smiling eyes. “And I think it was for the better, even though that sounds gross and sappy,” the human finishes with a rush. He is suddenly embarrassed for making such a big deal out of this and is grateful for the dark room.
“But, Joonmyun,” Kris says. “Nothing big has happened since I came to Korea last… year…”
The hybrid blinks as it sinks in. It was one year ago exactly that Kris landed in Korea. He had in fact been bred for the body guard role that Joonmyun’s friends had guessed at. High ranking Chinese officials insisted on custom bred Kitties to lay down their lives for the purpose of protecting them. The shame of being cut from the training program during the final stages still stung. He had been let go from the program immediately when it became clear that he couldn’t kill in cold blood. Kris had been able to hide it for a long time but in the end it had just been delaying the inevitable. It didn’t matter how ready he had been to use his body as a shield or how sharp his senses had become, it all counted for nothing unless he could put down the threat.
Initially, he had been lost. In the past, hybrids that were unable to perform the function that they had been bred for were simply disposed of. Recently, the treatment of humane treatment of hybrids had become an issue of interest for the United Nations and the Chinese government had been threatened with sanctions unless their policies were reformed.
This meant that Kris wandered around the capital with no place to go and the money the government had given him heavy in his pocket. The hybrid had been offered a government job but he couldn’t stay where everyone knew. It wasn’t that Kris was ashamed of not being able to kill, it was that he wasn’t able to live up the expectations of him. Eventually he had decided to go somewhere he could be where the expectations of him didn’t include killing; somewhere he could be content to be himself and be valued for that.
Once the decision was made, Kris found himself at the airport scanning the departures for the next flight available to anywhere. It could have been Canada, Australia or even Italy that he was destined for but fate and timing left him with only Seoul as a destination. Kris handed over the money with determination and flew off into the unknown with only the Korean he had been taught at the academy. It was unlikely that he would run into anyone who would recognise him and his past.
This is how Joonmyun and Kris found each other. He was in line for customs at Incheon airport, nervously tugging at his hat to make sure it covered his ears and cursing his poor preparation. There was no way he was going to be allowed through customs without papers. The body heat sensors and sniffer dogs would uncover his presence any moment now and Kris would be send back to China with even more shame than he currently carried.
It came time for Kris to present his passport and the officer takes one look at Kris’ status as a hybrid and casts about for the accompanying paperwork for hybrids travelling alone. When there is none forthcoming, she fixes Kris with a scrutinising stare. Kris smiles his most charming smile before he must come up with some way out. Then he spots the man behind him. He had noticed the man from his flight. Maybe, just maybe. It was a long shot and Kris would have to employ all his charm but it just might work.
Joonmyun had been staring at his phone and texting furiously, paying less attention to his surroundings than he should have been. He felt a frantic tugging at his sleeve that almost made him drop his phone. He looked up and found a pair of curiously soft eyes filled with fear connecting with his own. Joonmyun had been struck by how the hybrid’s stern face managed to pull on his heart. He had always been soft hearted anyway but this was something different.
Kris begged Joonmyun with accented Korean to pretend that he was importing his newly acquired Chinese hybrid. The human allowed himself to be directed to the little window where the customs officer was waiting. Kris gulped and prayed. He could be deported right then if this didn’t work out. It seemed like all would fail but all of a sudden, Joonmyun was able to find his voice and convince the woman that he was indeed this hybrid’s new owner. With a judicious amount of charming smiling and artful pushing back of his dyed blond hair, the Korean man had been able to fill out the paperwork to everyone’s satisfaction and leave with his new companion in tow. He had acted embarrassed about being so very enchanted with his pet that he had forgotten to lodge the correct forms before leaving the continent. The woman hadn’t really stood a chance when presented with two such different but equally handsome faces pleading with her.
The rest, as they say, is history. Joonmyun, being the soft hearted man that he is, offered the hybrid a place to stay and Kris, being susceptible to small cute things, gratefully accepted. After a period of cohabitation, they found themselves getting closer and closer until one day they simply weren’t just friends anymore, they were becoming something else.
Kris sags just a little when he realises that Joonmyun has brought this cake home to celebrate the anniversary of their meeting.
“I should be thanking you,” he says quietly and looks down at his hands.
“Ah, it’s nothing,” Joonmyun replies. “I’m lucky really.” He shrugs and holds up a spoonful of the cake to Kris’ mouth.
Kris blushes and goes to eat the cake but at the last moment Joonmyun pulls back.
“But then again, you didn’t guess correctly so…” he teases.
“Joonmyun,” Kris warns. His ears twitch and Joonmyun can see the muscles of his shoulders bunch beneath his thin shirt.
“Okay,” he smiles but makes an arc with the spoon again to tease Kris.
“Are you serious right now?” Kris grits out. The look Joonmyun gets from the hybrid sets his heart racing and he can’t help but push it just a little more.
“What?” Joonmyun asks, faking wide eyed innocence and moving to eat the cake himself. It’s enough for Kris to snap. He’s done with Joonmyun’s sense of humour and just wants some of the delicious smelling cake.
“That’s it!” he huffs.
Kris launches himself at Joonmyun and they tumble onto the floor. Kris manages to break Joonmyun’s fall with his body but the spoonful of cake smears itself down the blond’s cheek before he lands on Kris’ chest.
When it’s clear that Joonmyun is unharmed apart from being smeared with sugar, he finds himself rolled over on his back and trapped by Kris looming over him.
“You dropped my cake,” Kris growls with a smile before leaning in to lick him clean.
Greasy icing is lapped from Joonmyun’s cheek by Kris’ rough tongue. It gets spread down his neck and Joonmyun goes limp, allowing his pet to lick him clean. Joonmyun feels Kris purring against him and his fingers digging into his upper arms almost painfully. The hybrid moans so quietly into Joonmyun’s neck that he believes he may be imagining it until he feels Kris sucking and biting into the delicate flesh hard enough to leave a mark. It makes Joonmyun whine and clutch at Kris in return when it starts to tickle. He’s torn between hiding the fact that he’s getting hard and wrapping his legs around Kris and rolling his hips.
“Ah,” he moans. “Please Kris!”
Kris hums and leaves a few kittenish licks before sitting up to drag his hand across his mouth. Joonmyun can’t tell in the dark but the hybrid’s pupils are blown impossibly wide in the dark and can take in his dishevelled appearance, shirt askew and hair wonderfully messed up.
“You chose a delicious cake, Joonmyun,” Kris says as he sits back on the couch to dig into the cake. He wipes his face and turns to regard the cake sitting on the table. There is a second spoon on the table and he uses that to take another bite. The hybrid shivers and closes his eyes as he munches away happily.
“I’m glad you like it,” is all Joonmyun can manage from his position on the floor.
That night the cake manages to satisfy Kris but Joonmyun spends half the night staring at the ceiling. He thinks about how Kris is becoming more and more physical with him and it makes his heart race. He tosses and turns and messes up the sheets before taking care of himself in the shower and slumping back into bed exhausted.

“When will dinner be ready?” Kris asks as he looms over his small owner. He’s feeling antsy. He’s not hungry but he wants to eat. He’s tired but he can’t sleep. It has him restless and he stalks around the small apartment.
“Soon,” Joonmyun replies without looking up. He’s chopping vegetables and placing them into bowls ready to be cooked. Kris watches with a frown.
“Why do you have to cut those up?” the hybrid asks even though he is familiar with how Joonmyun cooks.
“Because, I like to have everything ready before I start cooking. You know this, Kris,” Joonmyun explains. He is smiling. Every time Joonmyun gets home after Kris, the hybrid is the same. He paces and sighs and generally makes himself a nuisance unless Joonmyun gives him a task to get him out of the way.
Kris hovers around Joonmyun with his eyes glued to the meat on the bench. There are two large slabs of meat awaiting the pan. One is smaller than the other and both have been seasoned with salt and pepper on both sides. His mouth waters in anticipation and he begins to become impatient with all the seemingly pointless preparation of ‘rabbit food’.
“Ugh!” Kris rests his head on the fridge. “This is taking forever,” he complains.
“With the way you like it, it will be done in seconds!” Joonmyun answers with a laugh. It’s true. The hybrid likes his steak almost raw. ‘Blue’ is the correct term but Joonmyun has never understood it. “It’s barely worth cooking, you know. If I wasn’t eating steak too then it wouldn’t even be worth the trouble I have to go to heat up the pan,” Joonmyun teases.
Something in Joonmyun’s teasing tone has the hybrid turning to look at his owner. He’s still leaning his forehead against the fridge but he is definitely not pouting any more. There is a wicked thought caught in the hybrid’s mind. After a second of observing Joonmyun finish chopping vegetables, he straightens to his full height. Joonmyun has put away the knife and is now rummaging in the cupboard for the sauces. Kris’ eyes narrow and his shoulders drop. He leans forward just a little with his gaze trained on Joonmyun’s back. He notices the way Joonmyun’s shirt is neatly tucked into his trousers and how it shows off his slim waist. Kris knows his owner is slight by human standards but he judges Joonmyun to be pleasingly proportioned nonetheless.
“You shouldn’t take too long, Joonmyun,” Kris warns in a low growl. He stretches his neck and rolls his shoulders. A smirk tugs at the corner of his mouth.
“Why’s that?” Joonmyun asks with only half a mind on the conversation. He’s mainly concerned with continuing to dig around in the shelves. Joonmyun’s thoughts go back to the time he brought cake home and made the mistake of teasing Kris with it. “Are you going to eat me if I take too long?” He chuckles at how clever he has been and is completely taken by surprise by the way Kris grips him by the shoulders and presses him up against the cupboard door with a clatter.
“Oh,” is all he says as he looks up into his pet’s large eyes. Joonmyun’s heartrate picks up with the hybrid so close. There are fingers digging into his arms. It’s actually lucky because Joonmyun’s sure his legs might be about to give out.
Kris radiates amusement and his tail waves playfully over his shoulder. His eyes are wild and he licks his lips. “I could just take one bite.” He leans in to nose down along Joonmyun’s jaw. “Where do you think would be the most delicious?”
“I- I d-don’t know,” Joonmyun stammers. “W-would you r-really?” He can’t tell sometimes if the hybrid is serious or not. Kris is not only larger than most hybrid Kitties, (he is a good foot taller than any other Joonmyun has seen), but he can appear more wild as well.
“Are you thinking about running?” Kris asks in a low purr. He’s having fun now. All his anxiety over his stomach being filled has melted away in favour of pursuing this game and pushing his owner’s heart rate up.
Joonmyun cuts his eyes to the kitchen door. He weighs his chances of making it out into the hall before Kris could catch him. If Joonmyun was free at the moment his chances might be even, but with the hybrid pressing him up against the cupboard he really has very little chance at all.
His best bet is to talk his way out of it. If he can keep his heart from exploding and his wits about him, then he might just make it out in one piece. Sweet talking is the one area where Joonmyun is confident he can best his pet.
“Why would I run?” he asks, forcing down the shake in his voice and trying to get in control.
“It would be fun for me if you ran,” Kris replies. He truly is hoping that Joonmyun will make a bolt for it. The thought of it almost makes Kris purr.
Joonmyun gulps, failing at keeping his cool. “F-fun?” he asks.
“Mmm,” Kris confirms. “Maybe I could even give you a head start?” he muses.
Joonmyun recalculates the odds, juggling the probabilities until he realises that he wants to be caught. He wants to play this game and lose. He wants Kris to drag him around with his big hands and mess him up. There is nothing more that he wants right now than to make his pet happy and play this game until he’s caught, shaking and breathless, perhaps conveniently in his bedroom where they can work out this tension that has been building between them lately.
Joonmyun takes a breath to steady himself before gathering his strength to rise up on his toes and press his lips to the hybrid’s.
“I’ll take whatever you give me.”
Kris is left to process what happened as Joonmyun wriggles out of his grasp and dart out of the kitchen. Quickly he follows and he can see that Joonmyun is edging his way around the couch, down the hall to hide in one of the rooms there.
“Sneaky,” Kris grins. He adopts a relaxed posture in the hope of convincing Joonmyun that he won’t chase him immediately. The pretence doesn’t work because Joonmyun is too keyed up to notice. He’s like an overstimulated kitten too caught up in play and it amuses Kris greatly.
Once he sees that a subtle approach isn’t going to work, Kris attacks simply. He chases Joonmyun around the couch and the human reacts by scurrying off down the hall and emitting a shrill wailing noise as he goes.
Kris laughs to himself when he hears his owner’s door slam. It’s then that he smells a faint burning smell and remembering that dinner was interrupted, he turns off the stove before going to open Joonmyun’s door. He pokes his head into the dimly lit room to see that Joonmyun has childishly hidden himself under the doona. The hybrid lets himself in quietly, shaking his head at his adult owner acting so childishly.
“I found you little mouse,” Kris calls. He’s answered by a small squeak and a jerk beneath the covers. The hybrid stalks forward toward the poorly concealed lump. He can hear Joonmyun’s breathing pick up along with his heart rate as time drags on.
Kris weighs his next move. He could jump straight onto Joonmyun but that might end badly. He could wait and then give his owner a fright if he pokes his head out. This appeals to Kris but at the same time he is growing impatient.
Kris sneaks quietly over to Joonmyun on the bed. He gingerly lets himself onto the bed and Joonmyun makes a squeaking noise as he feels some of Kris’ weight on him.
“I’ve found you,” Kris calls softly. Joonmyun makes no reply from under the covers and Kris slowly peels back the doona. He finds that Joonmyun has his eyes screwed shut and is balled up as small as he can be. He reaches out to stroke his fingers down his owner’s cheek and Joonmyun’s eyes snap open. “Got you,” Kris smiles and Joonmyun answers with his own small grin.
“Kris,” he breathes out. Joonmyun’s eyes are bright in the semi light of his bedroom. Kris can feel him trembling beneath him. The hybrid can’t stop himself from leaning in to press a kiss to Joonmyun’s mouth. It’s Joonmyun that deepens the kiss. He presses up into Kris and Kris responds by pressing back. It makes Joonmyun sigh and the sigh turns to a moan when Kris lets his tongue slip between Joonmyun’s parted lips.
“Joonmyun,” he gasps. It’s desperate. He hasn’t told Joonmyun about his upcoming heat yet and right now he can’t find the words. He can only hold Joonmyun tighter and hope that he understands. His skin is getting hot and all he can think about is touching, touching, touching.
“Please,” Joonmyun moans. He has no way of understanding but he knows that he needs Kris right now. The swirling pressure in his groin is building with each moment.
Kris peels back the doona the rest of the way to get at Joonmyun and he feels strong legs wrap around his waist. The human grinds up with short jerky little motions in the hope of relieving some of the pressure.
“Should I eat you now?” Kris groans into Joonmyun’s neck. He feels the tenuous hold on his desires slipping away. “I want to, Joonmyun. Please tell me I can,” he begs.
Joonmyun agrees readily. He pleads with Kris even as the hybrid paws at his clothes. “Anything, Kris. Anything. I want you!”
Joonmyun is almost dragged out of his clothes. His hair stands up at odd angles and his eyes are dazed. His lips are puffy from kisses and Kris doesn’t let him get too far away before his pants are swept down to reveal his pale legs.
Kris had seen Joonmyun in shorts before and even in boxers but the way the human is spread out on the bed before him is something altogether different. It takes no time at all for Kris to shed his own clothes and latch on once more.
Kris is driven by the urge to relieve his heat and the desperate noises that Joonmyun makes beneath him spur him on.
There’s lube in the bedside table and Joonmyun can’t even spare a thought for how he might be embarrassed about being so well prepared when Kris is sliding a slick finger down between his cheeks.
At first it feels strange and he focusses on how the muscles of the hybrid’s shoulders shift smoothly under his skin and how tight Kris holds him. It feels like he might want to squirm away until Kris adds a second finger and sinks deeper up to the third knuckle. It’s then that Joonmyun feels electricity spread over his skin and fire run through his veins.
“There!” is all he can manage and Kris works the spot in small little circles.
Each passing moment sees Joonmyun fall apart a little more. He drags his nails down Kris’ shoulders and almost shakes himself apart as he peaks. Joonmyun sags in the wake of his orgasm, soft keening noises wheeze from his throat with every huffing breath. The more Joonmyun loses control, the more wild it makes Kris until soon all he can imagine is being inside Joonmyun and rutting until he is utterly spent.
Before Joonmyun can register the loss of Joonmyun’s fingers from his oversensitive body, he’s face down in the pillow and Kris is pressing closer.
“Joonmyun, can I?” Kris pants. Joonmyun can feel him rocking hard against his ass. He can feel Kris’ hard length sliding over his slicked up hole. It’s oversensitive and way to much but he wants all of it and so he gasps out that yes, please he wants it all. It’s easy to forget that he’s lying in his own cum when he can’t decide whether he wants to rub against the mattress or push back into the heated flesh behind him.
Kris leans in and Joonmyun’s world contracts to the places where their skin touches. Joonmyun can feel every thick inch until Kris is fully seated inside him. He arches back as the hybrid scrapes his teeth over his shoulders.
Joonmyun doesn’t know if he’s going to cum again but he’s also pretty sure he doesn’t care. The way it feels as Kris holds him down and tries to just get off has his head spinning and the droning buzz of the hybrid’s purring gives Joonmyun a warm glow of pride. Kris drops soft little words of encouragement even as he keeps up the brutal pace. Ah so good so good so good
The large hands that wrap all the way around his upper arms and the hot mouth that glides over his skin fell like they are grounding him as he floats in pleasure. Kris is purring so loud it almost drowns out the other sounds in the room until it abruptly cuts off and Kris cums with a choked off moan.
Joonmyun and Kris freeze as they catch their breath. The outpouring of tension leaves Kris relieves and Joonmyun boneless.
Kris gingerly withdraws. His hands ache and he wonders why until he sees the state of Joonmyun’s shoulders. He recoils when he realises that he was the one who caused the angry red bruises blooming against the too too pale skin. They even stand out in the dimly lit room.
“Joonmyun?” Kris can barely find his voice and it comes out in a hoarse whisper. “Are you…?”
Joonmyun doesn’t move. He just whimpers until Kris moves off him.
“Joonmyun, are you alright?” The panic squeezes in his chest when he moves his owner gently to look at his face.
Joonmyun looks completely wrecked. There are wet marks on the pillow and his eyes roll around like they did when he was drunk.
“Kris,” he sighs. He extends a shaky hand and collapses into his pet’s arms. It seems it’s Joonmyun’s turn to snuggle into Kris’ chest and rub his face.
Kris just lets him do whatever because he’s really starting to realise how out of control he was. He reaches over to adjust the bedside lamp and when he turns it up, he sees the imprints of his hands on Joonmyun’s upper arms. He trails his fingers over the marks and his chest gives another lurch. He hurt Joonmyun.
Joonmyun’s eyes are still shut but when he tries to change position, he groans in pain and blinks as his eyes open.
“Are you alright, Joonmyun?” Kris asks quietly.
“I think so,” Joonmyun replies, voice croaky. “I just feel like rubber.” He frowns and winces when he rolls his shoulder. His mouth makes a silent ‘ow’ shape.
“I am so sorry,” Kris says around the lump in his throat. It gets worse when Joonmyun looks up at him with nothing but adoration in his eyes.
“Sorry? For what?” he asks. He doesn’t even wait for Kris to respond and just lays his head back down on Kris’ chest.
Kris stays there, tense and fighting down his feelings until Joonmyun raises his head with a groan.
“Kris are you okay?” he frowns. “You aren’t purring?”
Kris sees the doubt flicker over Joonmyun’s features before he looks away.
“Was I not good?” the human mutters, hurt pinching his features. Kris knows he has to explain, and quickly.
“I just hit my heat,” he begins. “I’m sorry I was so rough I just couldn’t help it. You and I…” He pauses to drag his free hand over his eyes. “Our attraction has been coming on slowly and I didn’t know if it would scare you. But every time I pushed you, it looked like it made you excited so I wasn’t worried.”
Joonmyun looks a little embarrassed. It had been exciting. He had liked it. He still does.
“I promise to be extra careful with you from now on. You’re amazing, Joonmyun. So kind, and handsome and, you drive me crazy. You were definitely good, I’m just sorry you are hurt.”
Kris’ eyes are misting and Joonmyun can’t bear to see the guilt there.
“It’s really not bad, I promise. I’ll probably be stiff tomorrow but,” he sighs. “I’m okay as long as you stay.”
Kris doesn’t believe that Joonmyun is completely fine but he knows that Joonmyun believes he’s fine.
<<<|>>>
"I'm sorry," Kris says softly. He's crouched beside the bed, chin propped on his hands. "It’s bad, right?"
Joonmyun pulls his lips into a soft smile and reaches out to run his hands through the hybrid's soft black hair.
"It's okay. I just need some rest." It comes out strained and Joonmyun only just manages to stop himself from wincing at the sound.
Kris makes a little frown that thins his lips and his eyes pour out concern. "Alright," he murmurs before rising and shuffling out of the bedroom. His broad shoulders slump and his tail makes its way into his hand so that he can stroke it with a long thumb.
Joonmyun feels his heart stutter over the next few beats at how cute his pet's expression is. He rolls over with a groan to bury his hot cheeks into the cool of the pillow. Sleep is lapping at the edges of his consciousness and he drifts off despite the dull ache in his lower back.
Joonmyun is fast asleep on his side when Kris carefully tucks a warm wheat bag against his owner’s back and props him up with pillows. The hybrid then takes up a spot at the foot of the bed. Kris feels his eyelids getting heavy despite only waking up two hours ago so he lets himself drift off, each blink longer than the last until his eyes fail to open.
This is how Joonmyun finds his pet, leant against the bed with his legs tucked underneath him and his head pillowed on his folded arms. A small amount of drool has escaped the corner of the hybrid’s mouth to wet the doona below and soft purring snores rumbling from deep in his chest. Joonmyun’s heart gives a squeeze at the scene and he just watches Kris sleep.
Joonmyun tries not to jostle the bed too much as he rises and it’s then that he discovers the wheat pack Kris left. It has his heart lurching again as he heads to the kitchen to make breakfast.
Kris enters the kitchen rubbing at his eyes and sniffing the air for the smell of bacon and eggs. Joonmyun has even prepared the coffee in an effort not to return to the bedroom to curl up Kris again.
“Are you alright?” Kris asks, voice creaky with sleep.
“I’m fine,” Joonmyun answers quickly despite the careful way he moves around the kitchen.
“Can I help?” the hybrid offers. Joonmyun spares him a quick glance before shaking his head.
“It’s all done. You actually have perfect timing. That is yours,” Joonmyun indicates to one of the plates and carries his food out of the kitchen along with the coffee plunger and some mugs.
They eat in slightly uncomfortable silence across from each other until they finish and forks scrape against empty plates. Kris steals looks at his owner and Joonmyun tries to eat as quickly as possible. Joonmyun pushes his plate away and wraps his hands around his mug as he leans back. Kris reaches across the table to take one of Joonmyun’s hands. He tugs on each finger until Joonmyun looks up at him.
“I’m sorry,” Kris begins but Joonmyun moves to pull his hand back. “Let me finish.”
The human nods and waits for Kris to speak again.
“You do things to me, Joonmyun. Ever since I first spotted you in that customs line and you smooth talked to save me, I’ve been yours I think. I know you don’t like thinking of yourself as my ‘owner’ but I’m yours anyway.” Kris stares down at the table and sighs. He has said this before but he needs to repeat it. “It kills me that I hurt you. I should be more careful. I will be. I promise.”
Joonmyun grimaces slightly. He hates having to say what he’s feeling. It’s difficult but it looks like Kris needs to be comforted right now. He rises with only a slight groan and by necessity, Kris has to release his hands. The hybrid protests thinking that Joonmyun is going to run away but when he takes up a position in his lap, legs off to one side, Kris relaxes and lets the human arrange them into a comfortable position.
“I don’t know how you can’t know this by now but it’s me that’s yours, Kris.” Joonmyun can’t look at his pet and he presses his face slightly against Kris’ shoulder.
“Really?” Kris asks, disbelief and hope making his voice sound airy. Joonmyun nods and closes his eyes, clinging a little tighter to his pet. “Alright.”
Kris seems content to leave it at that. Joonmyun is grateful and he lets the warmth of Kris’ body seep into his. Their breathing evens out and synchronises as they hold each other. Then Kris shakes a little and Joonmyun is curious enough to lift his head to see what is going on.
“I’m sorry,” Kris smiles, the clouds over his head part just a little. “I was just going to ask what colour collar you wanted!” His shoulders shake and he clutches Joonmyun closer as he laughs out loud.
Joonmyun makes a face before ducking his head in embarrassment. “That is not what I meant, Kris.”
1. I’m sorry I strayed into Kris’ POV so much… I… just… did… sorry.
2. Yes, Jongdae has a crush on Joonmyun Hyung.
3. I’m sorry for any angst about the angst… Hurt/Comfort is my drug but there is always a happy ending.
