Wow, it's been a long freaking time since I updated. Well, I don't have a lot of time too because I work 3-5 days a week generally, plus rehearsals (both Seussical and Madrigal Feats in Stevenson) and voice lessons. But whatever, I like it.
Theatre has become way awsome again, now that we are digging into serious acting technique. We started in on stuff like "Learn the character, not the lines" which means that you listen to a line preceeding yours and see how you yourself would respond, and see how close that is to the actuall line. This will show how much the character is like you, and how different they are. It's sweet, except that now bad performances are becomign even more obvious to me, and movies that I liked for a while, and some that I didn't, are becoming less and less likable. Hans and I had a debate about The Village a while back, and watching it now I see just how bad the acting is. It's awful in every way possible and an insult to the art form. The exceptions are Adrian Brody and Joachim Phoenix. The film unit in general has taught me how to analyze filming techniques, camera angles, color palletes, the use of music, and such like that.
Yeah, I'm pretty pumpes about it all now.nOkay, I guess that's enough. Ta ta!
