okay, so i'm still lingerin around davis, hanging with the '03 guys here and keepin on with the whole job thing.
american pie is on tv, but really i'm waiting for laguna beach to come on at 10. call me a sucker. i don't care!
as far as the whole development of plans, i've decided to really reach in and figure out what i really need right now. i got a book to help re-motivate me, and i had some really good conversations today... i might be able to spend some time in the juvenile probate court, observing, learning, and maybe even doing some stuff. i got an email today from face-to-face about a resource coordinator position... which is more involved with education, but i think it might be cool to check it out.
i know i might have been jinxing things, but it sounds like the guys workin on the apartment are really setting things up for a move-in saturday. my parents are trying to plan around coming up to help. i'm thinking... what about all that ikea furniture to assemble? also, the guys made it clear that there will be a lot of cleaning to do BEFORE we move in. do we have a vacuum cleaner?? i feel like friday night should be a little prep. get together?
other than that, i just finished The Time Traveller's Wife. it was amazing. i think it just put together a lot of stuff that i like to think about, and it was a solid page-turner. i love finding books that i look forward to reading. but now that it's over... time to find another one! hehe.
things i'm a bit worried about:
-- parking and car stuff in cambridge. you need mass plates to get parking permits. you need mass insurance to get mass plates and registration. and i guess you have 60 days after that to get a mass license! sheesh.
-- budgeting. they say that if you wanna be secure as a grown up, you should start investing and making plans in your early 20's. i'm betting that perhaps i should find a job or something like that BEFORE i start looking into that... but it's still something to think about.
-- aaaaaaand all that other adult stuff. i'm an adult. arrrggh. thank goodness for cartoons. keep me sane.
