At last! Finally BBC History Extra has done a podcast episode featuring Tuthmosis III-!, though they choose to call him Thuthmosis.

A couple of years ago I was contacted by someone whose friend had saved ‘abandoned’ photos of and by my mother’s cousins. These cousins (Lucille and Leona) had lived to a good age (90s) but had no children. I’ve dipped back into Ancestry records to remind myself of how they ended up in Tacoma, Washington. Today we had a 'no-rehearsal pageant' (anyone could join) and plenty of Christmas hymns. Even without a hymnal I knew all the alto parts! I wore my celebratory sweater (crimson). It has a small teddy bear holding a cardinal on the front, and a cardinal on the back.* I remembered I had small cardinal earrings so I wore those too ( Read more... )
