I had a peaceful, slow start to the morning, the kind I enjoy.. unless Duolingo has a case of 'racing and chasing'. (In that case feel compelled to do at least one lesson early.)
As promised (to self) I went to the library today. I didn't get to print anything, as all 44 libraries in the system have some kind of software problem in the print function--! There was nothing crucial that I wanted to print, but if frustration sets in I can go to the UPS Store. I have some financial papers to shred there.
During my peaceful morning I finished a book: The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, by Bettany Hughes. I especially enjoyed the last few (Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, Colossus of Rhodes, Pharos of Alexandria).
I've also read Hughes' books on Helen of Troy, Socrates and Athens, and Istanbul.
I've turned to a book on Georgian interiors (homes, not interior design. 18th century, neither state nor country.:-). I have a long nonfiction TBR list on Kindle, and it's easy to read just the most recent purchase. '
ETA: "too easy" - I'm making a point to read some that have been on my list for some time.
