keep on keeping on

I had hoped to go to the library around noon to print some things, but it was rainy. I'm still not up to using my cane in the rain. It cleared up in the afternoon, and I drove to the co-op for a half gallon of milk, coffee beans, and Kind bars. (I can manage these with a string bag.)

Today I checked to see if I could put my weight on my right leg, going up a step. Nope, there was a pain. Luckily it was just a pain, not a intense pain, collapse and agony. :-p My excuse for trying is that you have to try sometime! On the other hand, I successfully walked down steps 'straight', not sideways.

Non-knee: Bob G published a Book of Fictional Days for some years. I was one of the busy bees who submitted days (real days, fictional events) from my reading. I kept collecting them for myself, for awhile, after he quit printing the calendar. Here is a fairly recent one:

March 2
A meteor hits the Chesapeake Bay. (1952)
The Calculating Stars, Mary Robinette Kowal

(what follows is much more realistic than "Look! the meteor hit the State of Liberty!" that you find in movie after movie. Washington Monument, Golden Gate Bridge, you name it

Finished a C-drama today: Sword Snow Stride. A bit all over the place. I prefer Joy of Life (same lead actor).
