in my building

There have been homeless men over the years who learn their way around the Minneapolis campus (including the tunnels) and find places to sleep.

Recently one was found in our undergraduate magazine's office - he was wearing one of their extra (advertising) teeshirts! And another one was in one of our seminar rooms at 4 p.m., lying on the floor recharging his cell phone (yes..). He later got into a conference room attached to the undergraduate office, and scared the (woman) janitor out of her skin the next morning! She left the communicating door open from this room to the UG office, so he fled through there... and found the candy jar. After that he came in a couple of time and chatted with the receptionist, while eating candy. Now the candy jar has been put away - at least until next semester.

The only thing I came across, years ago, was a guy who used to call up and ramble. Schizophrenic and off his meds (he had been banned from another department). I hung up on him once, and he later told someone what 'chazzbanner' should be put in a Cuban prison. Luckily he didn't know what office I was in so he never dropped by.
