Wearing Medals
Generals loom over the destruction they've caused and measure victory by stats not by the emotional flow of their socities. I suppose that's the General mind set from the beginning. Then again the are supported of course by everyone from Colonel all the way down. A whole entity saying fuck balance, let's just get as much as we can. A coach can easily loom over the successes they've had an measure them by statistics not where their tools are now. Maybe this is why sports leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. So many dream of achieving glory more than actual control over their destinies. I suppose that's they way everything is life. We'd much rather have someone that makes us look happy and great rather than control as a relationship where your life goes. For all the volatile reactions that can happen at this age, it's nice to have a rock steady girlfriend. Looking at Kristin's cousin gives me a strange feeling. I think deep down inside we'd all like to be able to flick a switch that says, hey I just flicked a switch and made everything better aren't I great. I guess it's another one of the situations that makes people feel utterly helpless. Then again how in control of things are we. From a religious stand point you'd argue that we aren't in control of everything, the man is. From an agnostic stand point you'd say that mythical fate control everything, and of course an atheist would say the world just is. That being said many people think its strange i love the red sox but I hate the patriots. Call it righteous compassion.
