My favorite beetle everrr
Found a ten-lined June beetle (my favorite c:) buzzing around outside my garage when I got home tonight. He was attracted like crazy to my headlights, I thought he was a huge moth, little did I know I'd found such a gem! I don't recall ever seeing them around my house, though this is the season for them. B)
As you can see, he's quite large, and harmless. He does emit a small squeak/hiss if he's touched, but not as often as a healthy one would. his last 2 legs don't work, and he doesn't move much- I think he was on his way out when I found him :/ has trouble flying, too. Here''s one I would've rather found dead. An unfortunate addition to my collection.
