But “Dr. Keller is in seclusion with his surgical team,” the receptionist explained warily. “They’re rehearsing for the procedure that they’ll perform later today. The doctor left strict orders not to disturb them under any circumstances.” better not be code for "we're doing the operation right now!

Ryan had better not be best forgotten, unless Dr. Killer has a sudden invitation to torture baby animals and frighten toddlers to boost his demented ego. Lucy, we're counting on you. Waiting for the Cohens would be like waiting for a sloth to deliver overnight mail, and the guilt of failure would push you to volunteer for Dr. K's patient list.

It all comes down to pictures, doesn't it? There's the lack of one that got Lucy's wheels turning in synchronized, smooth, high gear, the fact that Kirsten doesn't have a single one of Ryan- and never noticed or cared. Then there's the fact that she needs one painted in explicit detail before her lightbulb dims slowly to life.

Since Ryan's completely MIA in this cruel installment, that had better not mean the point of no return. Caleb could easily find out where you live. You created a vindictive, cold monster!

Ryan wasn't supposed to be MIA, beach, honest. I even started a scene with him, but it got too involved and then . . . well then it just seemed better to keep it for the next installment. Please don't sic Caleb on me! I promise to get Lucy and the Cohens on the case ASAP.

Keeping my fingers crossed that Lucy manages to stall the operation long enough for the Cohens to come to the rescue! Yikes!

Also? I loved the realization that Kristen has no pictures of Ryan. Talk about a harsh dose of reality.
