The Value of O Negative (part 2 of 2)

I don't understand why this took so long to write. Neither will you when you read it. But for what it's worth, here is the second missing scene from "The Night Moves." (Imagine a commercial break after part 1.)

Disclaimer: Characters on temporary loan from Josh. Unfortunately, the errors and lame ending belong to me.

I would have loved to see this rather than all that wasted ice cream guy time that we actually got. You did a wonderful job of filling in what Josh neglected.

Thanks, zbyszko. All the screentime for the ice cream guy drove me crazy! Seriously, what was Josh thinking?

(Hmm: we asked that question a lot, didn't we?)

Thanks for filling the gap. You've given us so much with so few words. My favorite line "Ryan speak for, don't want to worry any body even though I'm bleeding and in pain and I've got a huge hunk of glass stuck in my back.". My favorite small touch, I love Julie being maternal towards Ryan. Gotta admit I love, Sandy having another confrontation with Frank. Glad to see, Seth having Ryan's back. Thanks again and where is everyone this week? I gotta admit I'm a bit concerned.

It's been quiet, but don't panic. The community has always gone through slow periods, even when the show was on the air. I don't think anybody has disappeared.

Well, I'll be a lot more timely with part two than part one. When was that comment, Thursday? Ouch ( ... )

How much do I love that Frank may be Ryan's father "by blood," but not blood type?

I couldn't resist doing this. Yes, I know it's much too convenient/cheesy to have Sandy match Ryan's blood type, but I wanted to do exactly what you noted: emphasize that the real father-son bond exists between Sandy and Ryan; Frank is, at best, a well-meaning stranger (and I still don't trust him one bit!)

In my mind, Kirsten is the woman who put her hands on Ryan's shoulders, comforting and claiming him as Dawn drove away in "The Graduates," so I'm choosing to believe that she will react with fear and loving concern when she hears that he's hurt. If somebody writes the scene where Sandy tells her what happened (and maybe where they visit an unconscious Ryan) I hope that's what we see.

Well, it was convenient for Seth to have the same blood type- I wonder if he even knew his, or if he had to be tested? Yeah, way too many questions. This way, since so much was left out- practically a whole episode since so much was wasted yet again, you and those who hopefully follow soon have every right to fill in gaps that serve to solidify the real bond. I would like to think that Sandy was frightened, worried and ready to overcome his sense of powerlessness to help Ryan in any way. Since he hadn't been there for him for fifteen years- and couldn't have been- and really hadn't been vigilant or involved for two years, it's makeup time for him. If only we had seen any indication that he was as concerned over the very real and compromised state Ryan was in rather than the potential, possible harm that he needed to verify hadn't befallen the unborn ( ... )

Oooh, just what I needed to see when I got up this morning! Awesome, chazper. I loved it all, esp the scene where the doc asks for Ryan's family and Seth and Sandy started shooting questions his way while Frank sank back on his seat. Fitting.

Thanks, helen. I'm very pleased you liked the bit with the doctor, since Frank lost his right to claim Ryan as his family long ago in my opinion!
