I told everyone that I would share my trip to Stars on Ice, so here it goes.
First of all, Nicole invited me to go with her a late christmas present. What an incredibly sweet thing to do. I think dance class has been bringing us a lot closer together.
So she picked me up and I showed her around my house since she hadn't been inside yet. And from the looks of it, she really liked it. Even though it was a real mess at the time. Which reminds me, I really have to get some cleaning done in my room. Its really needs it. But not to the extent of disaster...
When we got in the car I gave Nicole this little necklace with her initial on it with stones in it as a 'Thank You' gift. She really like it! YAY! She even wore it to school today! Lol. Sorry, that just made me feel nice. So maybe I do have good taste.
She gave me an HUGE book on Ancient Egypt since she knows I have a love for it. Its from National Geographic (which I also love and sometimes read from cover to cover). Also, a little fairy figurine. We both love fairies to death, so guess that was a give away. I think they both were meant to be late b-day gifts. But hey, being able to share that night with her was enough. We had do much fun and had a great flowing conversation that just didn't stop! I love that, when you can keep each other talking.
Anyway, back on topic. Her parents took us to a Texas Steak House! I was really excited to go there, since I have never been to one before and have always wanted it. Not to mention I absolutely love steak and only get to have it one special occasions and for a special treat. Then they said I could order whatever I wanted! I didn't want to feel like I was taking advantage of that offer and being rude, so I order what Nicole was having. Which turned out to be a good idea. Its was delicious. Plus I got an extra side of mushrooms! Yum. I still and waiting for d lunch, so this is making me really hungry. And I'm sure all of you are just dying to know what I ate, lol. So moving on...
So then we got there and I saw a lot of my skating friends there. It was nice seeing them.
The show started and it was incredible! The lightening so fantastic. They could make it look like a rave, and make the ice out to look like flowing water.
I saw my two favorite pairs skaters and a few of my favorite male skaters. It was great when Scott Hamilton came out. He skated to that jazzy Chips-A Hoy theme. He did more back flips than I could count. I lost track after 3 by the end of the show.
A group of the girls came out in back and white PLAID ballerina too-toos and rave lights in their hands and skated aroun doing a rave dance. Nicole and I have thought about doing that one day, and I think we most definetly will look into doing it now!
The show was just so incredibly funny. There was one moment were Scott came out a few times and couldn't perform, (just to be funny, you know). The commentator would say things like, "Uh, sorry Scott. But due to Todd Elderidge's long standing ovation and applause, we don't have time for your number."
Then David came out to perform and Jamie was missing every time that they announced them. Then suddenly they made a toilet flushing effect and she comes out smiling then stops and stares at him, lifts her arms up and say..."What?" in a really sarcastic tone. She was in an outrageous hot pink and florescent green with fury stuff on it and lots of sequin and sparkles. As the routine went on, she threw more and more off as it slowly became a small little cute dress as she took more and more off. Then when they were done, she wouldn't stop waving and smiling to the crowd. Playfully, David pulled her off the ice. Lol.
Jamie and David, one of, if not my fav pairs couples skated to one of my favorite songs. Come Away With Me, by Norah Jones. It was so romantic! I loved her dress. A really pretty shade of light blue, sparkly and very elegant the way it flowed. Another dress I really like was like that too, but was a very light and pretty shade of pink with a bare back. *grins*
The guys did a really funny dance in janitors clothes with janitor's brooms. They did all kinds of crazy things with them. It was wild. I love it. THEY ARE SO TALENTED! Everyone was outstanding! There were some pretty great and funny programs, as well as some really serious and powerful ones.
They also came out in these really bright, florescent, neon colored suits in colors like, neon green, neon orange, and bright pink-purple... Everyone was so fantastic. The music was very well chosen.
One of the girls did a program that looked sort of like one that I would like to do one day. The outfit was even similar to the one I designed. I already have it all planned out. Lol. I'm finding that happening more and more these days. Hehehe
Yeppers, it was a great night. And I got out without spending any money! I was tempted to buy a really neat shirt, but I didn't give in, lol, good thing too. It was $30.00!!! How amazing is that! I always end up spending money on those type of things.
*phew* Well, if I forgot to mention anything, I'll update again later, not as if I haven't said enough to keep everyone bored...hehe.
Laterz...

P.S. Sorry if this is a little messed up, out of ordered and misspelled a lot. I bounced around it all over the place!
