I learned 2 days ago that the State of New York issued a warrant against me for unpaid back taxes.
*cue scary music*
To make a long story short, I had to pay them $2000 up front today, and I owe them $250 every Friday from now until the end of the year. Every. Fucking. Week... Or else.
Ugh, fuck me now. Please. Up my ass. Harder.
Oh wait... it gets better. Yesterday my laptop died.

Appears that I'm having major overheating problems that brings the computer to a literal standstill. Considering I use my laptop HOURS each day for work and play, I don't have time to get it serviced. My feelings tell me that it would not be economical to fix anyway, even though it's only a little over a year old. So, on an impulse, I went out today and bought a new laptop. Considering my machine is used regularly in front of large audiences for demonstrations and trainings, I just HAD to get a sweet machine. For you tech geeks, here are the specs:
AMD Turion 64 X2 (Dual Cores @ 2.0ghz)
3GB of RAM (upgradeable to 4... which I will likely do next week)
ATI Radeon X1270 Radeon Graphics Card (256MB Shared)
160GB HD / DVD-RW / 4 USB / 1 DVI, S-Video, HDMI
15.4" / 6 lbs
