Why so serious...? Well, the Joker would certainly want to make some changes on my face right now. I’m of course ecstatic about the boys’ EMA triumph, even more so because I didn’t think it possible. There was strong competition, but then again who can compete with fans who spend days voting, clicking the button

I´d like to say something relevant but all I can think of is "yes", "yes" and "yes". I love your fictions and I think I love your analyses even more. They´re so true you can feel the hurt underneath this huge build-up almost physically, especially the part about Bill´s exhibitionism. To me he seems to be some modern version of Dorian Gray, a creature relying so much on his own surface that he has to scrap out his insides to repair the holes und bruises the public tries to tear because they want to know whats inside, not realising that it´s his surface which shows his real self

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me. What you wrote about Bill as Dorian Gray is actually a brilliant comparison and I can only agree wholeheartedly. (Actually, I can speak German, so if you have anything more to say, I'm all ears. I may not be able to reply to you in German, but I'll understand everything)
'he has to hold onto the hatred...' this part really made me think. You are right again. He has to hold onto it, because it makes him into an international phenomenon, it's part of being Bill from Tokio Hotel and part of what TH is. This was he is not unknown to masses even if a good part of those masses hate him. This is the pound of flesh he pays for his fame.
I've been trying and trying to figure him out for years now and I always fail. Maybe it's because as you have suggested: he doesn't know who he is either.

Hi...Kinda stumbled on this somewhere.
As I was reading down to every paragraph you actually gave me a headache (LOL) and my heart actually sinks further down, because I can only agree with your thoughts. I don't want to be plastic and say some flowery words when I know it's not worth it:( I actually didn't bother watching the whole WBMW performance at the EMAs because I really thought Bill was..*gulp* ridiculous(Yeah, kill me now). Like you said, he really looks like he's just trying too hard out there and it's just upsetting:( I don't think I'd want to comment further on the recent album (esp. on the english version) because I'll only be ranting and bitching half the time..>_It's just really sad that they're stuck in something like this:( I want them to stay longer in the industry but with the way they play the game, I don't know if they can:( They can still improve and grow - I've been telling myself that over and over, and yeah, I do believe that letting go of their current image and starting back once again from scratch would be

This performance was choreographed from the first moment to the last and Bill just went throught the motions like an obedient, mindless doll. What is more, he overplayed it ridiculously. And that’s my point. He is trying too hard when he performs in front of a hostile or non-fan audience. And it’s the wrong deicision.

I totally agree. After watching the EMAs I wished they had won the award prior to their performance. I believe Bill would have put himself more into the performance as a thank you to the fans.

All in all, I was brought to the same conclusions as your self (but did not bring it together so eloquently). The label is really holding Tokio Hotel back. It's very upsetting to see but the guys have to make more sacrifices in order to be taken seriously. How much more of themself do they have to lose for the band..
