Perhaps not the most neutral of polls
Imagine two people are having a nasty yelling ferocious "one'helluva" fight. Cruel, hateful, and vicious words are spoken; the people are furiously angry and one is possibly crying and distraught. Suddenly a third person knocks on the door; the fighting people open it. One of them strikes up a jovial, friendly conversation--"Hey, Joe! Good to see ya! Listen, I wanted to let you know I'm free on Saturday to help you move that furniture you were asking about. You can borrow my truck, too, if you want. Sure, no problem, any time!"--while the other person sits with arms crossed, barely looking up at Joe when he asks how s/he's doing, answering with a emo/borderline rude "I'm fine".
