Micah, my good husband

Jan 16, 2008 22:52

Today was SUCH an expense of time and money... Micah had to take off both his day job and his evening lessons, which is a huge loss in pay, so that we could drive 240 miles worth of gasoline. Most of our morning was spent preparing for the big trip. We left at 1pm and didn't get back until nearly 9pm because by the time we were returning we were in the midst of a snow storm and our windshield wipers had conveniently ceased working when we arrived at our destination. It also appeared we might have lost a headlight. It took us four (at times, scary) hours to get home (including a stop at Subway for food, as we hadn't eaten in six hours).

What a loooong day.

I had intended to go to Emporia by myself with the baby, but Micah my good husband offered to make these sacrifices and go with me. With him by my side my nervousness was cut to a fifth of what it would have been and I was able to make it through the day without losing my cool, vomiting, crying, or drinking. In fact, I'm in a great mood.

He's my very best friend.

Did I mention he made me pancakes this morning, and did the dishes this evening?
