If you count this week as Sunday - Saturday as it shows on my calendar, I'm working 40 hours at the VFW and 28.5 hours at Apple this week. I don't want sympathy or any "How do you do it?!"s or whatever else you might remark, if you were thinking of it. It just is what it is.
If you count this week as Monday - Sunday (i.e., the work week followed by the weekend), I'm working 40 hours at the VFW and 33.5 at Apple.
87.5 - 94 hours away from home in seven days, depending on how you count them.
I don't have a day where I don't work until August 11, and that's only because it's not on the schedule yet. That's like a joke but it's not.
My son turns eight on August 9. (I work 12 hours that day.)
I am finishing up my 30th week of pregnancy. I am what you might call seven and 3/4 months along. August 10 I'll enter my eighth month.
I read today I'm supposed to have gained between 19 and 25 pounds. I've gained 11. "Because there is so much development and maturing going on with your baby, it is incredibly important to ensure that you are getting plenty of nutrients and rest," the newsletter says. That, too, sounds like a joke but it's not. (Here's another: "Your third trimester is now in full swing, and you can probably feel it! Aches and pains may become bothersome as your uterus grows and the joints of the pelvis begin to loosen in preparation for delivery. Don't stop exercising, even though your fatigue will increase these next weeks.")
I can't find the punchline.
