YAY for Wiccans!
"Use of Wiccan Symbol on Veterans’ Headstones Is Approved" - Washington Post
Sometimes I feel good about humanity, and then I see an article like this and wonder, in this modern age, how on earth did it take so long (ten years) for this to get approved? Who is so small-minded as to have opposed it? Aren't other humans, too, able to separate their personal opinions and preferences from that which is legal and right and fair? That is, you wouldn't have to *like* Wicca or hold to Wiccan beliefs or practices to be able to comprehend that it is unquestionably a legitimate religion deserving of equal treatment... My mind struggles to grasp why Wiccans had to fight for so long for something so plainly within their right. (There are 1800 Wiccans in the armed forces.)
