Book 34:
The Natural Knitter: How to Choose, Use, and Knit Natural Fibers from Alpaca to Yakby Barbara Albright
This is a truly beautiful books, with sumptuous photographs of fiber, yarn, and fiber animals that made me sigh with longing for the life of a fiber photographer. In addition, the book is a great reference to various types of yarn with a focus on the whys and wherefores of using natural, organically raised yarns and plant-based dyes. There is a nice collections of patterns also, though no lace shawls.
Book 35:
Drunk, Divorced, and Covered in Cat Hairby Laurie Perry (aka
crazyauntpurl)
I already mentioned this one, back when I was reading it. This quick, humorous, and enjoyable read is the true story of a 30-something Los Angeles woman raised in the south who husband leaves her, and who takes up knitting to help get through it.
